Hey there, I am planning on applying to the UCLA MECN 2016 program and was wondering if anyone else out there was applying as well. Just curious about other applicants and hoping to go through this application process with some other people! Would love any feedback. Thanks :)

You know what....you are absolutely correct. I should not be that way! I am a bit edgy during this process and I should not be takjng my frustrations out on anyone on this thread. That is very inconsiderate of me...so with that being said...@knenopolous,

I TRULY APOLOGIZE for what I said. I would not be so happy if I were to receive that news and I can only imagine how you feel. I am trying to stay positive for all of us who has not heard anything yet but, it is not your fault that we're STILL WAITING! I hope you find a great program that is fit just for you.

@ knenopoulos, I am very sorry that you did not get accepted and even more so that someone made that remark, perhaps it just came out poorly because we are trying to remain optimistic. I really appreciate you making this thread and I don't think it is at all inappropriate for you to post what you did. You're the first person to come forth with that news and I thank you for your honesty. You definitely have support here and maybe for those of us who don't get in can get some feedback from each other in the event that we want to apply next year. I myself am still waiting for an answer and have my doubts about getting in for several reasons, yet I know I will still be disappointed if that is the outcome. Going here is my number one choice so I know how you feel. :/

Thank you to those who reached out, I really appreciate the support. @Luv4God, thank you for your apology- it means a lot. I totally understand how stressful this process is and it is really frustrating that the admissions department doesn't just send out status emails all at once. It does not make any sense. I was surprised to hear back so early, but I think it may have been because I would've been coming from Boston and I had reached out to an admissions representative a few months ago asking about the status of my application since I would have to coordinate such a big move.

Like I said I am of course disappointed as this was my top choice but everything happens for a reason and this decision will not derail my goals of becoming a nurse. I know that we have a great group of applicants here and I sincerely wish every one of you the best and I really do hope you are all accepted into the program!

Wait- those who were accepted early are "allowed" to post about that but because I was denied I am supposed to be quiet? That doesn't make sense. I started this thread looking for people for support through the application process and because I was denied I can't get that support anymore? It's not depressing story, its a reality. I'm sorry you feel personally affected by my denial from the university.

I'm sorry you were not admitted into one school if your choice, and for the inappropriate comment that followed. There are many roads to nursing; you'll find your way there! All the best! :D ♡

Hey guys! If it makes anyone feel any better, I was denied admission and heard around feb 10th as well. So don't overthink! The timing might not mean as much as you think it does. Hang in there!! I have faith that we will all end up where we are meant to go :)

Sorry for the denial jz16! I am so confused with the first wave of denials and acceptances... My page is still saying that there has been no decision made. I thought it came in waves of acceptance, waitlist and then denials. I'm hoping for the best and to all you ladies and gents, good luck and we will all be amazing nurses one day!

Its about 1am, I just randomly checked the application status and saw my rejection letter :cry:, I didn't receive any email notification. Good luck to everyone still waiting and congratulations to those that have been accepted.

I have been trying to check the status of my application and I don't know how. Do you mind pointing me in the right direction? Did everyone else have to check their statuses to know if they were accepted or rejected?

Nvm.... it kept giving me some weird message that I needed to log out from another system. A reboot of my comp worked, which is still weird because I closed all the browsers. Anyway, my app just says "submitted". Does anyone know what the deadline is to have all the notifications sent out?
