FYI: CNA is not a license... its a just a certificate... after you finish some crash course.. they will give a certificate... its not like you have to do some internship and board exam.. as far as i know... you mention golden west college.. orange county cali... right??? and if you are thinking of nursing as your "back up" ... well I suggest you take some science courses first.... like anatomy, physiology, microbiology and organic/general/bio-chemistry... in-class not online... then you decide if you still want nursing to be your "back up " plan.. #justsayin Taking CNA courses before "applying " to nursing program as a "back up" plan is sooooo yesterday... you may wanna rephrase that.. majority of people here work very hard to get in to nursing program... it's not for everybody... nursing program chooses you.. you don't get to choose...in some cases.. nursing becomes our next level of career path/choice never a "back up" plan... you don't want to offend other people... #culturalcompetent

Does pre-nursing really need to take that long? Yes, I was working full time when I did my pre-nursing classes... Ill b doing one science class and 1 non-science class like english or math .. then I was doing some volunteer work on the weekends... just think about your competition... hungry young people .. maybe straight A's.... with lots of skills... who also applying to nursing program.. what do you do with the rest of your time to bring in an income and further your nursing career work as many hours as you can... financial aid/student loans.... volunteer.. get some other healthcare certifications.. CNA/phlebotomist/EMT/lab assistant...

don't even file any lawsuit... thats too much stress and time consuming..... they will be like..." oh you have time to sue us but you can't get into your clinical rotation on time".... just move on and look for new school/program..... start over or something... you made a lot of mistakes.... i mean huge mistakes.... as long as you know what you did wrong... and you acknowledge that... just move on.. move forward... and its time to make some changes... close that chapter.....look likes u had some personal issues/behavior that affecting your education... I suggest to take some time off... do some mind/body/soul exercise to reset your system... you can try to apply to any nursing programs.. east coast/west coast... private/nonprofit/public.... doesn't matter where you apply...if you want your education/diploma, you better earn it... not because you bought it....you are just going to keep repeating your story about your past nursing drama .. you can't really run away from it... maybe they are right... maybe its time for you to think another route or path... you may wanna consider another career in healthcare industry... well anyways...good luck..... be strong.. and remember...nursing school is not a child's play.. be responsible/serious/organize

Do you have any skills? Pls don't use the words.. " no matter" or "whatever it takes".. sounds really desperate... Life experience means what have you accomplish to get to this position.. not hospital experience... Also... what qualities do you have to be a promising / future nurse... be specific and maybe include some examples..like volunteering or work experience... Remember... be unique and promising candidate.. not desperate or overly dramatic..

Dump her .. STAT!!! as in NOW... since no child involve yet... she's going to use any tricks she can do... so... write her a prescription note... #byefelicia

Hello future nurses of the world... Sorry.. Ive been busy with school.. internship and work... :-) Well... so far we only have like 20 members on Facebook group... i get the feeling that more acceptance email will be send tomm.. i feel like its always friday... so... hang in there guys.....and stay positive all the time..

@msberry .. dont stress too much about it... I applied also to several nursing programs... and i told to myself... whichever comes first... that would be my path... because I don't want to stress about which one should I pick.... after all .... we all want that initial RN right? .. just follow your heart and think about your future and growth in healthcare business..
