UCF 2010-2011 accelerated nursing program

Published

I am applying and have requested all my transcripts, I did decent on the Teas test with an 86. Undergrad gpa 3.45, pre req 4.0

I went to the info session last month it was a bit of a pain :angryfire to sit through just to get the application passcode because of all the redundant you should do some research if your serious questions lol.

I am excited and hope to get in to move forward with my life goals of community health nursing.

I am also applying to UNF's program too. Their website is really detailed with everything I ever wanted to know. One of the few schools that have their stuff together.

Thank you hap13! That clears up a lot. Good luck with the rest of the program.

The gent doing the information sessions says we need to fork over $2500 for just textbooks in the beginning and buy no more books afterwards. I guess you can add another 500 for the srubs, pda (w programs) etc.

I called yesterday too...wondering when they would be sending out acceptance letters.

The lady I spoke with said within the next week. Sounds like everyone hears a different story!

She also said they would be sending emails and letters!

Good luck to everyone!

I can't believe now they're saying "within the next week". Obviously if it is going to take that long they should have known Monday when I called that there was no way they would be ready by Thursday which is the day they quoted me. That's a bit disappointing.

ms.jazzo-

Is buying a pda required? I had no idea. There is so much to plan for financially that I don't know about because I feel there's been so little information available.

Well lets just hope that the person I spoke with didn't know the exact date and that is why she gave me that answer!

I thought that was hella early for a decision to be made. U all need to take a chill pill. I am going back to thinking mid March.

PDA-I may be getting mixed up with USF which requires a PDA. I am sure a PDA would be helpful to some and would be surprised if UCF does not require one to be bought. I will ask someone I know who is in the FNP program at UCF.

No need to take chill pills....check your e-mail everyone!!!! I just got my acceptance letter!!!!

Congrats bdiv! Looks like I'll be seeing you in may!

Good luck to everyone!

I got in too!!! yay! see you all in may!

The reason why everyone was anxious is because the website stated the 1st of March.

I got in too - right when I had given up on hearing today!! Congrats to all!

I found out I got in today. I was really surprised but happy! Hope to meet everyone in the new class soon!
