Actually I never see it the way you mentioned. Every time I have ever seen such a line it is always like this nearly verbatim "Have you ever been arrested, convicted, or pleaded guilty..." Innocent before proven guilty apparently does not apply to jobs, school applications, etc. In my opinion such wording should be made illegal on applications, but it seems everyone does it. However, my guess is that they would most likely overlook it if you were not actually found guilty.

Yes, but still some percentage must come from maternal/infant. I am wondering on average how many maternal/infant questions there would be on a test. I know they don't give this information so I am wondering more about who has taken the test and how many they got.

Anyone know the % of questions on NCLEX roughly that are maternal/infant related? I always see a breakdown based on other classifications but never on actual subjects from nursing school.

Are you telling the truth that you were kicked out BECAUSE of the law and not for another reason? If so I'm pretty sure what happened to you is illegal. A school can't kick you out because you would be unable to get licensed after graduation. This has had a precedent set already in the courts. As a student, you have protection in seeking a degree regardless of ability to be licensed. As long as you can participate in clinicals as a student and meet whatever other criteria are found in the college's handbook, then you legally have a degree owed to you.

If you are a readmit (former student) then there is no orientation and you already have your immunizations. There is no need to worry.

By the way, I glanced through the last few pages and put friend requests for the other students I saw. I check this site quite a bit since it's the only up to date info I have on what's going on.

I know this post is from many pages back, but I am just reading it now. I was trying to figure out when clinicals start. This post implies that "community clinicals" begin immediately. I am excited to begin clinicals ASAP, but I am still wondering if this is the "full" clinicals so to say. In other words, will we begin patient interaction immediately or is this "community clinicals" something else to get us introduced to things first. On the one hand, this is an accelerated program so I'm sure they will want us having clinical experiences ASAP. On the other hand, will they really throw us right into the hospital immediately or is there some simulation type practice beforehand? Like I said, I would love to just start patient care the first week (even if it is mostly observation), but I can see how it could go either way. Right now, my guess is that we will begin clinicals immediately, but it will probably be mostly observing an RN at first. Then we will gradually get to do more and more as our supervisor sees fit. Also, does anyone know more about the specific clinical experiences? I am really interested about which areas of hospitals we will have rotations in as students. Is there any ICU or ER experience at some point? If anyone knows let us know! Finally, who all is going to be at the CPR training this saturday?? Don't forget about it! I'll be there and I'm excited to meet people in the program for the first time. Right now, I feel like there is so much about the program that I still know very little about. It's as if May is going to be a big surprise of "Oh, THIS is what its gonna be like!" Anybody know what I'm saying? Anyway, I've started to get really excited to get the ball rolling! Anybody else excited or maybe nervous about how soon its coming up??

There is also a nursing orientation where we will sign up for classes. This is different from the UCF orientation. I think someone said the nursing one is the week before classes, but I'm sure we'll get more info as time goes by.

From what I found out, you do not need to attend the UCF orientation since you already have a degree from UCF. I am in the same position, and the registrar told me there is no orientation for readmit students. You applied as a readmit right?

What is the program start date by the way?

I found out I got in today. I was really surprised but happy! Hope to meet everyone in the new class soon!
