  1. I did not feel insulted in anyway. Nothing that was said bothered me. The poster was just frank and straight to the point. No offense should have been taken. People from different parts of the USA deliver messages differently, and that is cool because, it is what makes us, us. Try seeking to understand anothers point of view before trying to convince someone of your own point of view.
  2. After reading this back and forth, it has become clear this has been blown out of proportion. As a traveler I too found Facebook helpful for experienced and newbies. There is a newbie group which is a good source of info. Look at the many threads on here about 1st assignment or new to travel. I just got off an assignment in Washington state. Personally I do not find the comments offensive. Simply ranking the source of information, should not be taken as rude or insulting. Facebook does contain more real time information. Nothing insulting about that. Don't start getting angry at a very true fact. Ned, you missed the point of praise, Bottomed out has given Allnurses forum. You harp on what you perceive to be negative. I understand your frustration, with Bottomedout telling users to go over there, instead here. The truth is Ned, you post in the forum on every thread started. For Bottomedout, to direct folks away would decrease your use. I get the sense you feel you're a great source of information. Truth is you may be a good source of information however, the traffic here is a lower than over there. Your instant replies are good but, people want more input than just you.
  3. Are you an accountant? Do you work for the IRS? Both are probably no. OP consult with someone in that field.
  4. I get what the poster Bottomed out, was referring to. The OP pays 15,600 a year for his mortgage. If the OP has only travelers staying for 9 months thats 16,200 at 1800 per month. The other 3 months he could take a local assignment. Doing so will not change his tax home at all.
  5. I think you want to be one of those students who does good and likes for no one else to to well. Growing up takes time. Reality is harsh and I am glad I could provide a dose of it for you tonight.
  6. U must be young. Not sure if you have ever had a full time job in the real world but I have and I know its about who you know gets you moving. Sadly the people who actually know stuff get overlooked for promotions. I guess when u get to that point in your life you will understand what I am talking about.
  7. I got what u huff and puffed about the first time. How did this person write down every question I mean really was the teacher in on it too? Who can write down every test question from each test? Give us the answer to that.
  8. OMG this is lame on your part. So what answers to previous test questions and others notes. I guess these answers are based on the last people who remembered a few test questions word for word. Seriously how accurate can that really be? If these people really remember stuff word from word which would be amazing and the questions are the same who is really to blame here. Sounds like your getting cheated with your education from having lazy teachers. Cheating IMO is gaining access to the actually test before u take it or cheating during the actually test. Nothing outside that and I mean NOTHING outside that is cheating. Let me ask you something would you not use the notes or test questions for study material had they been available to you? Blame the people making the test not the students who are using there resources available to them. Let this be a life lesson its not about what you u know but who u know. it gets u in the door and moving on up quicker than what u know
  9. Oh got ya. I am in an accelerated program. I thought you meant I needed to figure things out before a traditional college. I asked my school about the regular program and there is not much difference in the course load. I hate that these grades will be on my transcript forever absolute blow to the heart.
  10. Not sure what you mean because I am already at a traditional school. I can only think my causes are depression from being where I am at.
  11. I believe you are right. No kids or marriage. My classmates are people I do not feel connected to what so ever. I have dealt with some personal losses of very close family members within the last two years. Hmm its going to be a climb getting back to where my family is and trying to get into a school there. This has been a learning experience indeed not terribly costly but I guess its better now than getting kicked out.
  12. I don't work is the sad part. I can only think I did not like the campus when I visited as an undergrad 5 years ago. I don't care for the Orlando area and here I am at a place I didn't care for thinking I could put up with it for 15 months. My family is not here only friends of family members which are very helpful but not family. At times I do feel the need for more support. I moved to my own place and did most of that on my own. Mentally I have not been here for a majority of the semester. Had a difficult time with a clinical instructor early on that did not help. Only recently I started to enjoy nursing again. No, I did not take any courses at this school which helps if I do decide to jump ship after this semester.
  13. Hi, I am in an accelerated program and its killing my GPA. Like I may get a B and three C's or worse a D or two D's. I did not attend the school during undergrad which helps me leave this school off anything I will apply to next. My friends are telling me to stick it out but I worked hard to have a high GPA to let a bad program ruin it. I have a desire to achieve grad degree and the rate I am going that looks shot.
  14. current student. I had above an 3.7 and just under a 3.5 This program is a GPA killer.
  15. LOL. It was 3.4 something higher than what I posted originally along with my Teas score. My gpa sure wont be that high after this program which is disappointing
