  1. Elisacakes, I know you all already know that this is going to be a challenge and I am sure you are preparing yourselves for that. If I could give you a couple things to help you along it would be, do the readings that they will email you about right before classes start and subsequently before all lectures (you always need to be ahead of the game), review your notes every night (not necessarily for memorization, but familiarization) and read further about anything you need clarification on, set aside 2-3 hours per night for study, reading, and classwork (even on weekends), and know that you can do this! 2. Hi Fldobielover, I just finished junior year in the UCF College of Nursing. I know many who had an 81 on the TEAS and made it in. What you really want to look at is your core science class gpa ( Anatomy/Phys, Micro, Chem.....). They look for a 3.5-4.0 in those classes especially. However, most people that I know in the program got straight A's in those classes so I'm not sure how many they let in with B's. It depends on who you are up against in the selection process. I wish you luck, and hope to see you at the CON! Swarner5
  3. You need to find the facebook group! Congrats!
  4. I took version 4 and I think it is now version 5. I hear that 5 is better because it is less geology science and more biological science. You'd think that would have been the bulk of it before, but we only had one small section on biological and a very large section on plate tectonics and other such nonsense that you haven't studied since 9th grade. I studied the book for a month before hand and the test was slightly easier than the book implied. If you study it front to back, you should do very well. Good luck and congrats on finishing!
  5. I am scheduled to start in late August with the Fall 2011 BSN track.
  6. Prereq gpa is of utmost importance. As I mentioned before, my overall was only 3.6, but my prereq was 4.0. They are really interested in how you did in your core science classes. I went in to talk to the director and they told me that it was my TEAS of 87.1 and prereq scores that got me in.
  7. My overall gpa was 3.6, but it was my science classes gpa of 4.0 and TEAS of 87.1 that got me in. I am starting the basic program at the main campus. Are you finished with all your prerequs?
  8. Oh, how do I find you on facebook?
  9. Thank you so much! I appreciate the information.
  10. Thanks! I actually got accepted last February and am starting the program in August! I'm very excited, but nervous. Could you tell me how it was and any pointers you might have? Should I really bone up on A&P or do they expect that since the wait to get into these programs is so long, you may have forgotten stuff?
  11. I won't be going to VCC anymore. I was accepted into UCF's BSN program. I wish you all well. Good luck in the program!
  12. No prob, good luck to you as well.
  13. Hey Amber, My cumulative gpa was 3.65, but my core science gpa was 4.0 and I got an 87.1 on the TEAS. Not sure of the average.
  14. I had the same problem. Message me and I'll send you the link. Jenniferpnts had to do this for me as well.
