For those of you who were able to register. Did you just register for the lectures or did you also do the 3 labs?

Most of mine were, however, my TB shot and Health Form read: Expired 4/01/10 (even though I submitted them on 4/05/10). I called and it was a mistake. They told me I would have to contact the school to get this fixed.

Erinina- Most of the books have the option to buy directly from Amazon with their "super saver free shipping." When you look up a book look at the used and new options...sometimes the Amazon book will cost a few dollars more but they will all ship for free! Other than that I just used which ever seller had the lowest price. Make sure they are the right edition and say CD included...unless you don't want the CD or the book doesn't have one! Good luck shopping!

I don't know how much they will be at UCF but I just ordered all mine from Amazon (with the exception of two). With the free shipping my total for the books that were in the package UCF offered was 649.00 (thats including the two books I got from other sources). This is a good bit less than what UCF is offering.

Hey guys...I think I am going to go ahead and buy all the books in the package separately. The only problem I am having is the book by "Pagana" seems to only be in the ninth edition and UCF is requesting it in the 3rd edition. I find this weird that we would be using the old of an edition. Has anyone else run into problems?

I am trying to figure out this book situation as well. I would hate to buy them all separately and end up not having everything I need! I feel like I can't call the nursing office again...I already called once today and got a very annoyed response from someone. As far as scrubs go...has anyone ordered theirs? Did you get one set of each pant and two white tops? Did you order over the phone or go into the store? I just called the lady to see if I could look at the scrubs/jacket online before ordering and the lady said that wasn't an option. Sorry for all the questions everyone! I appreciate all the help!

For all of you who purchased your stethoscopes separately...did you choose the classic, light weight, or something else? Are we allowed to pick a different color?

Congrats again to everyone that got in! UF Prospect - I currently live in Orlando and have been here for the past five years. I have lived everywhere from on Campus housing, to a house of campus, to apartments off campus. You're right in saying that rent here is not cheap. If you have any specific questions regarding apartments please let me know. There are some place around here you would not want to live (all freshman apartments/not so safe). I am looking to move downtown next year. It's a little farther away but a more grown up crowd and living environment. Erinina- I am also a returning UCF student and I'm not going to orientation. As far as signing up for classes goes, you probably will not be eligible to do that until the nursing college gets all our paperwork straight. Hatter- You're situation sounds odd. Since you go to UCF I would walk right up to the nursing office and speak to someone in person. I was up there a million times throughout the application process and they were always really helpful. Everyone else- I also feel like I have a million questions. Does anyone know any specifics about the financial aspect of UCF's nursing school (tuition, uniforms, books, other expenses)? I am going to have to quit my job and live/pay for school off of loans, however, I have no idea how much I need. I asked the nursing school admin. assistant and UCF's financial aid office and they both looked at me like I was nuts! Maybe this information is posted somewhere and I have missed it. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know!

Hey everyone...I just wanted to let you all know that I called the nursing office again today to see if the Feb. 25th deadline for the decision letters still stood. The lady in the office informed me that they now "hope" to be e-mailing them by Friday. Sorry if I got everyones hopes up before, but they seemed to have changed their dates and this is the newest information.

Hey everyone...I called recently and was told the the tracking number is for their personal use, not for ours. They also told me that the decisions will be sent out this Thursday, Feb. 25th by e-mail. Hope this clears up some questions! Good luck everyone!
