Hello everyone!

I did not see a thread for UC Davis MEPN 2020 start so I thought I would start this since applications open up next week ? has anyone written a personal statement? I can't find any specific guidelines for what to include

Can any of those that are currently in the program tell me how the class schedule is like. Are classes everyday? And are they in the mornings or evenings?

Does the UC Davis MENP interview the applicants? If yes, is it individual interview or group interview? Thanks!

Is anyone wiling to share what you wrote for the response on nursingcas? I am having the hardest time trying to write my response and would love to get an idea on what to write?

I submitted mine a few weeks ago. I tried to answer as honestly as I could but tie it back to what they’re asking to include (Davis mission statement etc.) good luck hope that helps ?

You need to share why you want to attend Davis, why nursing, what Davis can offer you and what you will bring to the table! I can't tell you what your why's are - that has to come from you. I will say try to make it unique and less generic. You want to stand out and show them why you really want to be there

@hockeystic I love the program, it has exceeded my expectations and it's a perfect fit for my interests! Let me know if you have specific questions.

Every quarter has a different schedule, the first quarter is basically class 8-5 Monday- Friday with an hour lunch break. Some days start at 9 some days we leave at 3. Next quarter I have a clinical on a Saturday but no class Thursdays but it's different for everyone.

They do not interview applicants for MEPN.

That is awesome to hear! How many are in your cohort? Did you feel prepared from your pre-requisites for the courses? What is the work balance like?

Really just focus on why you want to be a nurse, what qualities or experiences make you fit for nursing, and why you are a good fit for UC Davis specifically looking at their values and mission.

do you start with your first few quarters in class only and then clinicals later? Or do you begin clinicals right away? Do they place in UC Davis med center or other hospitals as well?

Where can you see if NursingCas processed your transcripts? Also, you do NOT need to send transcripts to the school at this time, correct?
