Did you apply to the OR residency or is this application for the new grad residency?

I applied to both. The change in status is from OR.

I called and they just told me to check online for the status, but it does not seem anyone's status has changed for the RN residency regardless if they have been contacted or not. Has anyone gotten a call for NICU?

I have a friend that called HR and they told her that the NICU manager has been out the past 3 week so the applications for that unit could be routed this week to that unit

Did anyone get an interview for L&D?

I did. Did you also?

Anyone get a call for ICU or ED?

So no one has received an interview for NICU yet? This is all so nerve wracking!

Also, for those that have done an interview for another unit, what was it like?!

Was there a place on the application to put your unit preference? I don't remember seeing one but I did apply on the very first day? Hmmm....

So what happens is this:

1. We all apply.

2. HR reviews then routes all qualified applications who requested that specific department to the department manager.

3. Department manager reviews the applications they were given, then choose who they want to interview. HR then calls the applicants to schedule interviews.

Since the director of the NICU was out for three weeks, they haven't received or just recently received applications. I imagine it takes them a bit of time to read them and decide who they want to call. On top of their already demanding full time job this probably adds a lot of work. Not to mention having been out of the office for three weeks, then coming back to the work that was missed, new nurse applications, etc., etc., my guess is reviewing the applications is at the bottom of the "to do" pile based on urgency.

I'm sure it'll be in the next few weeks that people start to hear back for the NICU. I would give them space and not be calling HR to find out what's going on as they likely see that as pestering.

They will eventually call for NICU! Patience is a virtue :).

Anybody get an interview for float pool?

I'm wondering the same thing. Anyone hear anything from ICU?

I have an interview for float pool!

Anyone hear anything yet? Cohort start dates are fast approaching. Mine still says "Application Received".

Thanks all!
