I was wondering if you could share what they asked for in terms of references? Number of references required, what categories (clinical supervisor, employer, professor, colleague), etc? Thanks so much!

Hi! Not sure if anyone still checks this, but I had applied for the Spring cohorts and did not receive an interview. I was wondering how everyone had their resumes? Did you list your experiences in a table format or did you have everything all spelled out like a "normal" resume? Thanks in advance! I'm trying to improve my chances of getting an interview for the upcoming application.

Hey goofy_, BSN,
How did you set up your resume the first time you applied? Traditional? or how they outlined? Just curious because I'm submitting my application for the August cohort and was wondering the same thing?
Thanks

Submit everything exactly how they ask. Your education and experience will be more traditional layout, but the clinical experience should be the table they ask for.

Hi I was wondering what type of questions do they ask during the interview process? I'm applying for Fall 2020. I was wondering if they as any clinical questions or if they are more scenarios. I know I'm really ahead of myself but I just want to start preparing.

HR reviews then routes all qualified applications who requested that specific department to the department manager. 3. Department manager reviews the applications they were given, then choose who they want to interview. HR then calls the applicants to schedule interviews. Since the director of the NICU was out for three weeks, they haven't received or just recently received applications. I imagine it takes them a bit of time to read them and decide who they want to call. On top of their already demanding full time job this probably adds a lot of work. Not to mention having been out of the office for three weeks, then coming back to the work that was missed, new nurse applications, etc., etc., my guess is reviewing the applications is at the bottom of the "to do" pile based on urgency. I'm sure it'll be in the next few weeks that people start to hear back for the NICU. I would give them space and not be calling HR to find out what's going on as they likely see that as pestering. They will eventually call for NICU! Patience is a virtue :).

Hi, Ivar!
Not sure if you still check the forums, but I would love to hear about your experience with the rest of the process! I was recently assigned a NICU preceptor (my *dream*), but I’m still weary about how things will pan out during the pandemic.
Did you get a NICU position with UCD? How has the program been?
Thank you in advance for any insight!
