UBC 2020 Nursing

Published

Hey!

Just wanted to start this for anyone looking to apply to the 2020 cycle for UBC accelerated nursing. Let's share what we'll be applying with and any other info :).

From what I understand, the letters will start coming out in early May and that it will be later than usual.

Just tired of waiting. Need to know my fate?

I remember this feeling very well! And I just graduated from the program! Give yourself permission to feel strongly about wanting to hear, and then do something that makes you feel good. You will hear. I don't know exactly what the timeline will be but I know they have been pretty swamped at the school. Life is topsy turvy for everyone right now. Wishing you all the best!

Thanks for your words of encouragement. CONGRATS on the completion of the program as well. Will keep my fingers crossed, and hopefully I get a good news.

I used to think I had patience, but I think this wait on top of not working and isolating situation really is taking its toll on me. Like you, I started to look up other post degree programs plus I was looking at Vancouver police.

You got it! It's stressful for sure! Give yourself grace. ?

I feel the same. It's the uncertainty that's brutal. ?

That's very relatable, I'm doing the same.

Oh that would be interesting program. I was leaning towards a masters in public health at SFU. My undergrad is in Health Sciences. Still thinking about Vancouver police though LOL

I am really struggling with the wait as well! I'm in the same boat....been looking at EMT programs today lmao.

I only applied to UBC and at this point I am fed up. From the previous conversation in this group, offer letter will start rolling out from late April to early May. The wait is just too long and I am looking into University of calgary after degree nursing program incase I don’t get in.

Ugh I feel this so hard! Also looked into U of C just in case. Thinking about taking a psych course so that I can apply to BCIT or another school too, but really don't want to!
