Just wanted to let you all know that I got an offer to Western nursing today - they called me this morning. My GPA for most recently completed 10.0 university-level full-course equivalents is 82% so don't lose hope if you're in this range! Good luck everyone!!

WOW! CONGRATS!! what is your GPA on your last 10 credits? are you sure you're calculating your GPA correctly? This is what I did to calculate mine - in a spreadsheet convert the last 10 full course equivalents on your transcript (including graduate courses! they told me they use them in the GPA calculation) to 4.0 GPA scale using the OMSAS scale (it's the scale used for med schools). Maybe you could call or email Western and ask what their cut-off was last year?

You applied to Western right? According to last years thread the letters for the waitlist came out May 31. This year it seems that the deadline for responding to offers was June 1 - so any day now we should hear something about the waitlist!

Anyone hear from Western? Going crazy waiting! According to last year’s forum they sent out a big wave of acceptances and waitlist offers Friday May 31.

Does anyone know if Trent makes conditional offers?? I’m not done one of the prerequisites yet (Chemistry) and I’m afraid that I won’t be done it in time to get an offer. Has anyone gotten an offer so far with their prerequisites in progress?

For Western my GPA is around 3.5 (82%). I think you're right that it's probably just automatic.

Did anyone else without an offer from Western get asked for final transcripts? I'm wondering if this means I'm still in the running for a spot or if it's just a routine thing that everyone gets asked to do?
