Alright who's applying to the UBC Vancouver BSN September 2015 intake? I'm a second year UBC science student who's applying :) Let's all support and communicate with each other for registration help and processing !
Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum although I have been keeping up with it over the past month or so. I have an interview on April 22 in the AM. If there is anyone in the vancouver/UBC area that is interested in getting together beforehand I am definitely up for it! I'm not too familiar with the mmi format and could use some practice with that 8 minute time limit. Let me know!
@ssfish2015 @ubc2015 @j_essim_ac and also those in Vancouver!
Let's meet up and practice for the interview. I was thinking about next week (one or two of 13th/14th/16th/17th).
My email is [email protected] (Please include me for the Skype session too :))
I don't know how we can do this effectively. I was thinking if I should create a fb group for the practice session.
Either email me or message me on facebook! (Eden S Lee) and I'll try to organize something before it's too late.
Thanks!!
I've sent out emails to those who mentioned their email and their locations (Vancouver).
If any of you are wanting to join the group please email me at [email protected] :)
I would have to agree with what someone else said, it is about how you sell yourself. I was an applicant (now student) and I had very little volunteer experience and no previous degree. They want to hear what you learned about yourself through your experiences and not just how amazing you are but talk about your weaknesses. Talk about what was hard for you and how that helped you grow. This way of thinking about a situation will also help you prep for the MMI. Tip for MMI; alway look at the situation from the perspective of everyone involved!
Lily_Ann - pardon my snooping but I was curious about your experience applying last year so I looked at your past allnurses posts and noticed you'd also been accepted to Langara. With 8 months of the UBC program under your belt, are you happy with your choice to attend UBC?
I've been accepted to Langara but have an upcoming interview with UBC. While part of me is thrilled with the shorter duration of UBC's program - I'm nervous about how intense the program must be? Do you feel like you are getting enough time to process everything and gain adequate hands on skills? Have you got much of a life outside school? How are you finding it?
thank you for any wisdom "from the other side" you'd be willing to share!
