UBC BSN September 2015 Applicants

Published

Alright who's applying to the UBC Vancouver BSN September 2015 intake? I'm a second year UBC science student who's applying :) Let's all support and communicate with each other for registration help and processing !

thanks ashlee88, I am trying not to! Just lots of review and refreshing....If I make it past the interview I just need a passing grade for this class...so hopefully thats the worst that could happen.

nursing 2015 your final acceptance is based on the interview 100%, they say they do 7 interviews so they don't risk a tie, and I recall at the info session we were told the point of the interviews it to get to know you as a person, your experiences etc. They also said they understand for your first interview that you will be nervous etc. so they cut you some slack on that one.

I was practicing some interview questions on my own.

HOLY is it hard to speak for 8 mins.

How are you guys practicing? I think the two mins prep is crucial but its tough to organize thoughts unlike an essay...

nursing 2015I have a list of a bunch of questions previously asked I found online and have just been going over them and talking myself through them. What I am more curious about is are we given the question, and we sit there for 2 minutes to prep with the interviewer? or do they come in after the 2 minutes? I am not entirely sure how that works...

The email I got said they would be 7 minute stations nursing2015 so hopefully that knocks a minute off if you're worried. Also, I have a friend that had to do MMIs for his Masters of Physiotherapy program at UBC and he said that you are all standing in a hallway with you backs to a wall/door. A sound goes off and everyone turns around and you have 2 minutes to read/analyze a situation written on a piece of paper that was behind your back. Once the 2 minutes is up a door opens and you enter the room with the interviewer and have 6 minutes to discuss your response (8 mins in total, or maybe 7 in our case?). It doesn't seem so bad...

Just kidding I misread the email.. 8 minute stations

Would anyone in Vancouver be into getting together to practice some MMI questions together? My interview is April 17th.

Congrats to all who have an interview and to anyone who does not, keep your head up and remember that you are awesome and worthy and if this is something you really want, you will get it - you all rock.

Mine is at 930am. Good luck!

Do we have anyone here from SW Ontario? Specifically the Kitchener/Waterloo area?

Hi guys, I've been following this post for a while. I got my interview offer last week and mine's on the 22nd :)

I would like to meet up for a practice session, I heard that practicing with fellow interviewees are extremely helpful. I'm thinking if we have 5 people, it'll be good to meet up. Anyone else?

Hi guys, I applied for 2015 entry and I got an email last night saying I was placed on a reserve list for interviews. I am second on the list. Anyone have any experience with this?
