UAB Summer 2014

I've been lurking here, looking to see if anyone would be starting a thread on the UAB MSN cohort for Summer 2014. Nobody has yet, so I'm doing it!

Application deadline is October 28th! Is anyone else applying to start next summer? I've applied to the WHNP program, and have gnawed my fingernails down to nubs over it.

Been over an hour and it's still not working. It says error code:PIDM. and if I forgot the blazernet ID or password. Was everyone else getting the same message? I was able to log on to the UAB email.

Those of you who are able to log in (or have been accepted).... Do you mind sharing your stats (GPA, RN experience, etc)? I'm applying for Fall 2014 and would love to see what it takes to get accepted. I will be a new grad, so would especially love to hear from those people. Thanks!

Livelivelaugh8: I remember getting that message and I want to see I reset my password and a lil while after was able to get in.

I called the IT guy again and he said I'll be able to log in after midnight. That I have for the system to log me in. It was such a pain go create a password that they accepted so I don't want to reset it. Ill wait till midnight and see what it says. I really hope we get letters on Monday!

On their website it says to wait 1-2 hours but I guess that's changed now

LLL8, mine did that too and I clicked the UAB link it gives you on that window. That took me to another window and I could view my profile and see that my concentration was Nursing. After about an hour of that the whole outlook of the page changed and my Blazernet worked. Also, Lynn27, my overall GPA and Nursing School GPA was 3.45. I waived the GRE. I graduated in 2009 from Nursing School and went straight to ICU. I have done ICU for four years and CVICU for three years of the four. I have my TNCC, PALS, ACLS. I have precepted new CV and ICU nurses for two years. I really didn't thought my GPA was gonna set me back, but I guess not as much as I thought.

Randomly decided to try again and it lets me log in!! Says my concentration is FNP! I have 3 holds..drug screen, medical clearance and another which I think means that I have to accept the seat into the program! I have been assigned an advisor!! Omg!

Oh, correction to my above post..."I really thought my GPA would set me back." Lol! Congrats LLL8! I'm so excited to start school! I still can't believe I'm gonna be a Nurse Practitioner! Granted I pass, lol! I can't wait to meet all of you at Orientation!

I am still having no luck logging in. I'm sure I'm good to go, but I'm still impatient to actually see it in print! They must really have put WHNP at the bottom of the stack.

Can anyone elaborate on the blazer account registration. I actually applied for fall 2014. My entire application was submitted last week along with my transcript. I just tried registered for a blazer account and was able to login. The only thing is that it shows freshman and transfer links only.

Surely, the fact that I could register already, doesn't mean I was accepted so soon?
