  1. To those who aren't accepted, please don't give up. Last year I applied to CRNA school at UAB. I studied for the GRE like crazy for weeks. I got three extra letters of recommendations- two of which were from CV surgeons. I also wrote a research paper that wasn't required, and I made a book with my picture on the front and sent it all throughout the hospital and got 250 signatures from nurses, doctors, PAs, CRNAs, and CRNPs who would recommend me for CRNA school. I also had comment pages in the back for people to write about me. I had three years of ICU and CV experience. I just knew I was gonna get in...but I didn't even get an interview. Nothing. I was really worried that I wouldn't get into CRNP school either because I felt like I hadn't put near enough time into my application (since I obsessed over CRNA school so much.) But, somehow I did. So don't give up! There are always trials before triumph! You can do it!
  2. Oh, and I live about an hour from Birmingham.
  3. I got my acceptance packet today!!!! My friend and I are both in Acute Adult-Gero!!
  4. A friend of mine who applied with me got her acceptance letter in the mail today! I can't wait for our mail to run!
  5. I still haven't got a letter in the mail. I'm so tired of waiting!
  6. Oh, correction to my above post..."I really thought my GPA would set me back." Lol! Congrats LLL8! I'm so excited to start school! I still can't believe I'm gonna be a Nurse Practitioner! Granted I pass, lol! I can't wait to meet all of you at Orientation!
  7. LLL8, mine did that too and I clicked the UAB link it gives you on that window. That took me to another window and I could view my profile and see that my concentration was Nursing. After about an hour of that the whole outlook of the page changed and my Blazernet worked. Also, Lynn27, my overall GPA and Nursing School GPA was 3.45. I waived the GRE. I graduated in 2009 from Nursing School and went straight to ICU. I have done ICU for four years and CVICU for three years of the four. I have my TNCC, PALS, ACLS. I have precepted new CV and ICU nurses for two years. I really didn't thought my GPA was gonna set me back, but I guess not as much as I thought.
  8. My Blazernet is totally up and running!!!! Holds on my account and concentration as Acute Adult Gero!!!!
  9. Yes, it is. I applied for Acute/ Adult Gero. My second choice was NPFA. Mine did NOT work this morning at 7 am when I got up, so I bet they are working on getting them in now. So don't worry!!
  10. Nontradbsn22, my Blazernet is doing the same thing yours was with the Nursing concentration and my phone number. How did you see what field they put you in? Did it just appear after a while? The suspense is killing me!
  11. I'm so excited your Blazernet is working! Mine still isn't. And still no letter in the mail. Ugh!!
  12. I'll be checking obsessively too! I swear if I see that my concentration as Adult Acute I'm doing cartwheels in the halls of my house!
  13. I live about 45 min from UAB, so if I get anything in the mail I'll let y'all know!
  14. Ok! That makes me feel much better!
  15. Will it let any of you log back onto Blazernet? It says it can't determine if my ID or password is authentic. I tried changing my password in case I misspelled something on my first one. It still won't let me.
