I was able to sign into my account just now. I applied for pediatric acute care NP as my first choice and primary peds as my second. Primary peds is listed as my concentration. Has anyone on here applied for AC-PNP, been able to sign on and seen this listed yet?

Hey Ya'll! I searched this to see if anyone had gotten letters yet!! I applied to PNP-Gero with dual womens health! I'm a UAB employee and in non-degree seeking grad school now (taking patho and pharm to get ahead). I already had a blazerID but I do have new holds to my account in the last few days, the drug screening and all that so I'm guessing that I am in. Hopefully a packet arrives soon to confirm this! I was also assigned an advisor, which I did not have before, but my status is still non-degree seeking, likely because the semester isn't over??? Anyone else hoping for Primary adult?

I called IT this morning and found out it doesn't really hurt to register a Blazer ID. You just won't have any access until you are at least pre-admitted. I found out my app is under committee review so no access yet. I really think the FNP is so competitive that I have little chance of getting in but at least my app isn't in the "circular file" yet. The IT person said you can keep checking your status on the UAB website: Application status ( where we first submitted app) and can use your PW and PIN from there to see if your app has been more than just submitted. Hope this helps some. If anyone actually starts getting letters in the mail, please post ASAP. Good lucK

Did IT or somebody at the SON tell you that your application was still under review? From previous threads here, at least, it seems like you're not able to register a BlazerNET ID unless you're admitted, and the only people who weren't ever able to register them were the only ones who hadn't been admitted.

So I finally caved in and registered for a blazernet id. I was able to create one, but have had no success with logging in.

Should I retry in like an hour or so?

I applied for WHNP only, and was able to register a BlazerNET ID a week ago (has it been that long?) but have yet to be able to log in. I think they just haven't finished processing the WHNP set.

I went back in the thread a bit and saw that someone had to click on "activate account." So then I got the account recognized but "limited access" message.

It was "one stop IT" and the other IT help desk I spoke to. But evidently,( and unfortunately) you can create a Blazernet ID as soon as you submit an application as someone did above who just applied last week for FALL 2014. The blazernet ID finds your identifiers thru your submitted application. So I'm not as hopeful as before. :no:

I finally broke down and called IT. They said I am showing a missing item. The missing item is all my transcripts per them. So they forwarded me to the graduate office ( non-nursing ) that says they don't deal with the holds on that account. Though they are listed as the one with the holds. Nursing says they have them. They say that will show until you are officially admitted. She couldn't tell me if they had them all or not! All she said was that will probably show until "you are officially admitted". REALLY, confused now. NOT GOOD. Cograts to everyone that found something out. Since some folk are just now able to login as of Friday or today I wouldn't be worried yet ScaryK...letters have not even been opened by anyone... Will see...

I am still feeling pretty hopeful. When I log in I have an advisor assigned. There is a blackboard link. I have an email address. There are links to get grades, have transcripts sent etc. It is called a "student profile." It also lists my phone number and says, "this number will appear in the student directory." There are links for financial aid, registering for classes and IT, one stop and lots of other links. Plus it says Nursing, MS in nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner as my concentration. I tried for weeks to register a blazer net ID and never could until ScaryK could. Low and behold then I could. IDK. We all just need to get our letters already!
