Hi everyone,
I'm considering MEPN application to the UofA next year. I've been in touch with the advisor, Chris Sogge, for the past 3 years. I have a B.S. in Computer Science and a M.Sc. in Biology from Canada . Chris said that I need a pre-req GPA of 3.7 at least to get into the program; mine is 3.3. Do I stand any chances? Did anyone get in with lower pre-req grades? I'm trying to juggle pre-req taking with a toddler. Thanks so much for your advice!
Marina.

I'm going to submit mine on Friday and my Grad app I'll submit once my final grades are in from Pima CC. I talked to an adviser at the college and they recommended that I wait until those grades come through for the Grad school app.

They had 6 of mine (I have taken classes at 7 schools over the past 15 years, crazy, I know!) from earlier this year because I was going to apply to another program but didn't end up meeting all of the criteria. I took microbiology a couple of months ago and they marked that one being received on Nov 22nd. So when I submitted my application last week all of my transcripts were marked received, but not yet verified.
I submitted my application about a month ago because I had everything in from applying to other programs. My NursingCas transcripts took about 7-10 days to be verified and my application status remains under the "verified" status.
However I just received an email stating that my MEPN application was received. Not sure if this is just a courtesy email because I did receive an email a month ago regarding my application being received when I had originally submitted it.
Hopefully this information is helpful/reassuring!

Hmm... If I don't see verified status soon, I will reach out to nursingCAS.
Did your email that MEPN app was received come from nursingCAS? Because I did get a generic CAS email that my application was submitted last week...

I got the generic email, too, that mine was submitted frm NursingCAS. I did not receive any other email, though... I wonder if that means it's been released to the school after they verify it? I'll be on the lookout.

If given the option, would you complete this same program again if you could go back in time, or a different one? I guess another way to ask is, do you have any regrets completing the MEPN program over another one? and any advice for, hopefully, future students in this program ?
Thanks!!
Hi ??
Thank you for your question. I finished at the Phx campus. I would pick this campus again because it is newer than Tucson. I’m not sure I would have tried another program since I already lived in Phx and this was the only Mepn in the state; now ASU offers one, as well. Every program will have its challenges, it’s all about how you handle yourself. Remain professional and you should be just fine. Best of luck
Sorry I could have been more clear!
I received a NursingCAS email that I had submitted my application. However, if your concern is with transcript verification I would say the process from submitting the electronic request from the school to it being 'verified' on NursingCAS takes close to two weeks.
Around the same time I submitted the NursingCAS app I also submitted the UA GradApp. So I also received an email from UA stating they received my GradApp, nothing from UA in regards to my NursingCAS portion.
The email I received today from UA was stating that they received my application and I have no further action to take as of today.

Thanks for the clarity - so you got the 2 generics when you submitted the 2 application portions (as did I), and now you got a third one - I will be on the lookout for that from the UA...or UArizona now ?
