You pay per semester and you can set up payment plans. And loan disbursement is also the same timelines

I personally worked through the program so I didn't need loans for living expenses. However, a friend of mine expressed that the loans weren't enough for her, but she ended up taking out the grad plus loan and I think that covered her.

The Davis bundle is actually cheaper and a good way to go since you have to have the access codes for hw. I skipped the elsevier bundle. I haven't seen your booklist yet to know how many books we current students have that are still applicable to new students

There's a facebook group that will open soon where students sell their books to non-mentees too

My advice is to wait to order books until you can talk to your mentor about if they can sell any to you and when someone from the program says which books you'll need new and which you can use older versions. Financial aid kicks in right before school, but they give you enough, and you can even take out more through the GRAD PLUS loan if needed

I absolutely do not recommend studying because the program is so fast and wild that you want to rest as much as possible beforehand and you really do learn as you go. If it's been like more than 5 years since you took anatomy, mayyyybe a tiny review would be good. But honestly not worth it, you'll be fine.

You should wait - they won't schedule time to go over an app at this time. I mean, you can ask now, but just expect that they will ask you to wait! So I would ask in a kind of sneakier way - like obviously thank them and then ask what is the likelihood of being offered a spot based on past statistics and where you rank (something like that). I love helping! I can't remember... you should be able to ask whatever contact they gave you

I was notified 8 days after the 2020 waitlist email that a spot opened up for me, and I had 4 days to give them an answer. I was given 12 days last year after being accepted to give them a commitment of yes or no. It is definitely possible to get in a week before the semester starts though! Someone in my class in Tucson got in the week before (or maybe it was even fewer days!). I asked in 2020 how many people were on the waitlist and there were 20, and I was on the towards the top 10 of the list, though I don't know exactly where (I asked the advisers lots of questions whilst waiting to see how likely it would be that I would get in!)

I had a feeling they'd send it out to y'all at 5pm! Congrats to the ones who just got in!! (Don't forget to not buy books or scrubs until we can see if we have some to give you for free or sell to you for cheap ??) and for everyone else - I was waitlisted at first (got into phx which I had to decline) and then got into tucson the next year- hang in there and I'm also happy to help you to go over your application or whatever!

UA is (unfortunately for students LOL) open through rodeo break! I don't know why they're taking so long to notify y'all this year since the previous 2 years was much earlier.

I did y'all a solid and asked a professor today how the new cohort interview review process was going. I don't know when your emails will go out, but professors aren't done reviewing them yet ?

You'll find out pretty quickly! And last year, they told us if we had to buy them new because it was a new edition or if we could use previous editions ?
