Nurses General Nursing

I would choose to be a respiratory therapist or a paramedic. How bout u.......

Specializes in CRNA.

I would go for the gigolo and professional kite surfer gig combination. If that didn't work...charter captain. People already want to pay me to take them out fishing. If anesthesia was not so fun, I would definitely be doing that now. Catching, gutting and filleting God's creatures is one of my favorite past times.

That is not even funny to be honest with you. Hopefully in your next life you will be a voiceless fish or gentle and fearful deer, that is if you believe in reincarnation. There is something totally unmanly about a guy who loves hunting and fishing.BTW hunting is meant for food not for fun and thrill, take a lesson from native Indians, they dont have to be in the field of anesthesia to know these common truths.

Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.

I love DOs. I work at the teaching hospital for the osteopathic med school in my area. Maybe I just work with great docs, but I looove my docs and haven't been very impressed with the MDs from nearby hospitals and clinics when they stop in.

Monitor tech. That is like the easiest job in the world.

As a former monitor tech, you're welcome to it. ;) It was low-stress and nice a lot of the time to be able to kick my feet back, but I had to BEG for my potty breaks - I was lucky if I got 2 each 12 hour shift. And there's no chance of getting out to the cafeteria for lunch - I learned to pack my own lunch and snacks after only a few shifts. It gets lonely and boring in the monitor room - mine had no windows, just a halfdoor to the hallway. Some of the nurses took it out on me that they didn't know their dysrhythmia and got witchy when I would give phone report on their patients too quickly since they didn't know what I was talking about - and heaven forbid they come check on their patients' rhythms themselves. I can understand it with some of them - I monitored for a general surg. floor, an oncology floor, peds, psych, and telemetry, but for some reason it was always the staff telemetry nurses that didn't know their dysrhythmia and were the grouchiest about it! /anecdotal unfair rant

Anyway, it was a nice break from being a tele floor CNA (I used to do monitors and CNA alternating shifts), but I'm so glad I don't do it anymore.

Specializes in Home Health, Education.

I'd get into health information management.

Specializes in Peri-Op.

I always eat EVERY mammal or fish that I kill and they taste delicious!!!! Well most mammals...rats taste like poo (really a combination between used motor oil and the underarm funk of a Woodstock hippie). I think you would be surprised at how long a deer or hog will last you. My grocery bills always go down when hunting season opens! I do not believe in reincarnation though as I feel that like many other religious beliefs, this is absolutely ridiculous. However, each individual is certainly welcome to their own beliefs and I do not believe it would be my place to openly criticize them. :)

pharmacist or perfusionist

I think I lost my apetite for supper by reading this.:crying2:

Specializes in Public Health - Pediatrics.

Another career in healthcare? I'd say pediatric OT.

Outside of healthcare? I'd love to be an astronaut. :D

(And FYI, it's the nature of the deer to be fearful, being a prey animal and all. However, if you're a good hunter, they never know what hit 'em. And most herds around here require culling at some point. Have you ever seen the results of inbreeding among large populations? Culling herds is better than letting them starve to death...just saying.)

Sorry of topic but why do we need to kill deers, there is no rational demand for its meat, plus shame on people for killing mammals that dont even eat meat, but peacefully chew on grass.Kinda ironic isnt it.

Ps.Well you dont need to respond, this is not my thread.
