Hi!
I haven't seen a thread made for the TWU Spring 2018 application process, so decided to start one! I'm the type to worry, and I know I'm not alone, so what better place to vent than here? For anyone wondering, the application date for Spring 2018 is August 15th, 2017!
My GPA comes out to a 3.720 with TWU preference. I haven't taken my TEAs yet, but plan to soon.
How about y'all?
It might not be that long - the email I got mentioned mid-September. I'm excited!
Oh my, even better!! Btw, thank you again for the TEAS tips! Unfortunately, I only had a couple days to study since it happened to be the same week as exams for my summer classes, but I think it's still good enough to be considered competitive (I hope!). Good luck!!
Sadly I applied everywhere...and that's no exaggeration. I think final count is 6 BSN programs and 3 ADN programs. I am so far behind on my career change plan due to the last year of denials that I needed to open up my options.
Holy crap, man! Good luck - although I'm thinking your odds are way up with 9 applications in!

That's a great score regardless of study time! I'd think you're fine - the TWU Info Packet from NursingCAS put "competitive" at 85% so I wouldn't be worried at all!
Hi everyone!
I am new to this thread. I am applying to TWU (Houston campus) My stats are:
Nursing Core GPA: 3.56
Teas Score: 84.7
-Math: 90.6
-Reading: 80.9
-Science: 85.1
-English: 83.3
*No bumps or priors*
Total points: 39.17
Last I spoke with Mrs. Heather Close she said students typically need 38-40 points or higher to get accepted to Houston campus and said the application pool was small at the moment (this was a week ago) but that typically there are allot of last minute applications so we shall see. Hoping for the best! Best of luck to you all!
Hi, J1 here... Houston classes are on Monday & Tuesday from 8AM to 5PM (Mondays) and 4:30 PM (Tuesdays), also there is one clinical a week (during J1) and a lab that is 4 hours and can be either Morning or afternoon, and those 2 are held Wed-Sat.Almost every semester you will be in class Monday all day, and part of Tuesday. In J2 clinical is 2 times a week, and I think after that it becomes 3 times.
Do you know how many hours each clinical rotation is? 4/8/12? Or it just varies?
