Hi!
I haven't seen a thread made for the TWU Spring 2018 application process, so decided to start one! I'm the type to worry, and I know I'm not alone, so what better place to vent than here? For anyone wondering, the application date for Spring 2018 is August 15th, 2017!
My GPA comes out to a 3.720 with TWU preference. I haven't taken my TEAs yet, but plan to soon.
How about y'all?
It varies. I believe they said for J1 we would all be 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM, but I'm not sure as our placements and schedules have not been given to us yet. However, your in a group and the entire group starts/ends at the same time.
Hi! Tried sending you a PM to ask this question, but you need to clear some space. I'm curious.. how does your cohort look? Is it mainly women? Mainly men? Pretty evenly distributed? Just wondering :) thanks in advance!
Too excited/nervous for the results! I keep second guessing my application and wondering if I filled everything out correctly Good luck to everyone!! I read somewhere that it's easier to get in for spring as opposed to fall.. hope that's true!!
Hello everyone! This will be my second time applying to TWU, but my TEAS score is much higher and my nursing core GPA also went up. I am applying to the Houston location. From what i have read, it seems it is less competitive than Dallas.
My stats are
Nursing core GPA: 3.52
Pre-req GPA: 3.6
TEAS score: 88.0%
I got a total of 40.53 points on the excel spreadsheet. I hope this is enough to get me accepted! Good Luck to all of you!!
Hello All! I only just discovered this site, but I managed to get through the application period and I just hope I did it all correctly!
Here are my stats:
Nursing core: 4.0
Previous bachelor's degree
TEAS 88% composite
I have 57.77 points when I put it into that spreadsheet. I'm applying to Dallas. I sure hope it is enough to get me in!
I am also enrolled in patho in the fall!

hi! I have not met my entire cohort, and at the 1st orientation many people brought friends/family with them. However, it seems to be 85-90% Female, ages are from I think 19-40+, and education experience from traditional college Junior up to a PhD student. There are about 110 students in the class now.
Hi!
Applied to TWU (Houston), UTHealth Science Center Houston, and SHSU (The Woodlands Center). Currently live in north Houston.
Everyone has amazing stats for this application cycle!
Stats:
Pre-req GPA: 3.757
Nursing core GPA: 4.0
No TWU Preference
Prior BS in Biology
TEAS: Overall 90.7%
Spreadsheet points: 64.73
I wanted to quote: newnursingstdnt:
"I am applying for Spring 2018 admissions and I was told we are allowed to take Pathophysiology before being accepted/starting nursing school, has anyone done this? If so do they allow transfer students to take the online class?"
Wow! Have you been able to sign up for the class? I've also applied for Spring 2018 (Houston) and would be interested in taking Pathophys early. I'm assuming you would take it this Fall 2017? Any benefits to taking it early besides lightening the course load for Spring?
EDIT** I've emailed a counselor :) I would totally take the class early if allowed!

Having taken Patho and Pharm elsewhere, I can tell you Pharm is much easier to understand after having taken Patho.
