Is anyone out there applying to TWU for the Spring of 2010? Just thought that I would start a group for all of us hopefuls so we could share information and have a way to communicate with each other.

Have you taken your HESI A2 yet? Have you taken all of your pre-reqs? If not, what do you have left to take?

I have taken all of my pre-reqs, and I just took my HESI yesterday. I didn't think it was bad at all, but I prepared for it for about 3 weeks.

If you haven't noticed, TWU has made some slight changes that I think some people will not be happy with. They are taking into consideration the first grade made at pre-req attempts for several of the classes like A&P, micro, and another class. What do you think of this? I wonder how it will change the applicants chances of getting in?

Does anyone know what they consider a good critical thinking score?

I have no clue. Someone mentioned that 750 and above was required for some other schools. But TWU has not said a word.

About the critical thinking section, they said it was required, but it's not part of the composite score. It could just be a tie breaker thing, maybe?

Hey guys. I'm in my patho class right now. One of the girls that sits next to me said she talked to one of the adivsors and he said that letters were going out Monday.

But...I also talked to a girl yesterday and her friend said she spoke with an advisor and they said they were going out on Friday.

Just thought I'd let you know what I've heard!!

Hello everyone! I have been reading this thread for quite some time now as I await TWU's answer. Just wanted to say thank you :redbeathe for posting all the info... It makes waiting a lot more bearable :). Also, I wanted to wish everyone the best of luck as the deadline for the response is approaching.

Well...I went with some of the girls in my patho class to the nursing office and we asked if we will recieve emails and letters. They said that we will only be recieving emails if we were put on a waitlist. The only way will will find out if we were denied or accepted is through post office mail.

did they say when those letters would be sent out? even though its a difference of only a few days, which isn't THAT big of a deal, it seems everyone's hearing something a little bit different. i'm thinking either they don't talk to eachother, or they're just trying to drive us all crazy!!

But the woman we talked to (which I haven't seen before) said they would go out next week, but of course she couldn't give an exact date of when they were going out.

Today has been such a bad day for me! My car battery went out and I called TWU DPS and they won't jump my car - because it is wet. I understand this...but it's going to be wet the next few days! :no:

No one that I know up here seems to have a pair of jumper cables either! I guess it's a sign that I should buy some.

O Rha_hea!! I am so sorry about that. But thanks for going to the nursing office and asking about the emails/letters.

Guess what guys? This is unrelated, but I had to share: I got my acceptance letter in the mail from UTA saying I got into the 2 yr Spring program. I am so happy. The deadline was Jun 1, and we have been waiting since then to hear. That is a really long, long time. Hang in there! It is all worth it.
