TWU Spring 2009

Published

Hello everyone just wanted to see if there were anymore hopeful spring 2009 applicants out there. I submitted my application already and just sitting back waiting till Nov when acceptance/rejection letters are sent out. I know they said for us to check out emails everyday in October. If anyone has been through the application process before please share your experience. Good luck to everyone :wink2:

Nope I am not reapplying became I have been accepted to my second choice for this spring! I will just be disappointed if I have to move cities. Thanks for all your support!

 Does anyone know if there is a difference in the content between the computer NET and paper NET? I wonder why TWU only takes the paper version.

I haven't gotten anything, and neither has my friend who also applied for the Houston campus. All we got in the mail today was an invoice from the dentist. I guess all of us from Houston are still waiting. Has anyone from Houston received any new e-mails?

I have a bad feeling that I am just waiting for a rejection later, but I will try to still have some hope. :o

I applied for the Houston program and I got my letter on Wed in Houston. Not sure what the min scores were, but if it helps, I have a 3.86 GPA (no .4 added) and my net score was 67.

Good luck to everyone still waiting.

I have taken both, not that different at all. The computer NET I took did not have the A&P section, but it was all pretty much the same. We were allowed to proceed to the next section w/out waiting, and the test results are available immediately after completion.

It's all about the particular school's preference.

What school did you get accepted to? Was it a BSN program?

Thanks!

I'm really sorry to see a lot of people from the houston campus get rejected. I hope everyone continues on their journey for nursing. Now I'm really wondering how I got waitlisted. Rfs2886 if you do get accepted into TWU will you take it or go with your second choice??

I got my rejection letter (in the Houston area) yesterday. I knew it wasn't going to be an acceptance since people with higher GPAs and comperable NET scores were not getting it. Its amazing how much it has changed in just a few years - I know a girl who is in the program in Houston now and her GPA was about the same as mine, which is one of the lowest of this group. Anyways, San Antonio, here I come!

Oh, and a warning to those still waiting: the envelope was kinda thick because there was some brochure in there. I wasn't at home, but I knew it wasn't an acceptance b/c of the posts here, but it sure did get my dad's hopes up.

Congrats to those who do get in. I hope you guys love it and do well. See ya in the student nurse forum next semester!

I got into UTHSCSA. I believe pookster did too. They are much more reasonable there. You should definatly apply. I have not gotten my letter yet but I am sure it is a rejection.

I have a strong feeling that I will not get accepted and if I do, it would be a hard decision. I think that the nursing faculty in SA are much nicer than they are in Houston. I have gotten that impression. Although I think the chances are slim, if I reject, maybe I can write your name on the response somewhere. :nuke:

Did you get into the accelerated at UTHSCSA? I am sorry about your letter, I should be getting the same letter. When are you moving to SA? I am going up there on the 18th to find an apartment.

I am pretty sure the test are the same and I am also pretty sure that many schools like the paper and pencil version better. Also, if you are thinking about applying to UTHSCSA, you will take the TEAS test which is on the computer. It was much more reasonable and nurse related than the NET.

Thats all folks!

Did you apply for the Fast Track?

Did you apply for the Houston or Dallas program? I am just curious because you must have been borderline to not get in, which is a shame!!! Let's all stay strong everyone! With great effort, we can do this! :anpom:
