TWU Spring 2014 Applicants

Hey everyone. I just wanted to start a thread for all of those hoping to get into TWU starting Spring 2014. My name is Kia and I have already sent in my application and completed my TEAS V exam. I'll be in the Denton campus patho class this fall (trying to wait patiently for an acceptance letter-GOD willing).

I was number 10 on the waitlist for this Fall and I just got a call saying there's a spot open for me...does anyone know if you have to have finished Hep B shots finished before starting? bc I haven't gotten mine yet...I'm about to call her back again, the first time she didn't answer.

Good luck to everybody because my hope to get in TWU is out of the window. I made a 70% in the Teas so sad. I called TWU and I am not a good candidate to get in TWU because they only want the best, apparently to them I cannot be a good nurse. I am so sad, but I cannot do anything about it. After, reviewing my test I found that I made a lot mistakes in the math section, and it was weird for me because many of the problems I double check the answers. Also, I had a question that was about natural selection and they counted wrong and the answer that I put was right. Someone told me that their test has a lot mistakes and that I can call and tell them to review my test. I do not know what to do? Has anyone found the same problem?

Don't lose hope..my was pretty bad too. May I ask how is your GPA and preferences? Maybe that will get weight out?

No good either... my GPA is only 3.5 and I only have one preference. I did not know about this system. Do you think I should not apply? I do not want to spend more money because I have been spending so much money in applications, exams and books. That is why I am asking your guys.

ahh.. well my suggestion would be talk to a counselor and ask if you stand a chance.. that's what I did. I really can't say you will or will not since every application period is different. If you want to apply, be quick because the deadline is Sept 1st. I am sorry you are going through this, I wish I could help more..

I can tell you that I talked to the admissions Coordinator yesterday and she said it's rare to see someone get in with only 2 preferences so...If you want honest advice, I'd start looking at other places to apply. Maybe look at TCC's nursing school or whichever community college is close to you.

My GPA is 3.86, 84% TEAS, and 3/4 preferences, ( i got a B in A&P I) and i'm applying for TWU Dallas, i hope i could get in! An advisor at TWU said i would get the result at the end of Dec.

Hi y'all! My name is Ney and I too, am hoping to get into TWU for the Spring 2014 semester (Denton campus). My stats are:

GPA: 3.75 (according to TWU's Baccalaureate profile)

Cumulative GPA: 3.84

TEAS: 86%

3/4 preferences and a previous Bachelor's from TTU

I'm so incredibly nervous! Not until a few minutes ago did I realize I need approval from the nursing admissions coordinator to have a few of my courses from my previous BA degree evaluated for credit. Deadline is the 1st! :/
