  1. Hello guys, the green book is called Professional Guide to Pathophysiology third edition, this book summarizes everything for you. Also, use youtube it will become your best friend. Please pay a lot attention to your Basics class, many people told me that the class was very easy and that they never read the book (please don't do that). Another suggestion is to be a very positive person and trust in yourself. Also, many students are going to tell you how hard nursing school is ( please do not listen) it is hard, but no impossible do not let people like that to scared you. Good luck guys
  2. Hello guys, I am currently a student in PV college of nursing... I buy all my books in Amazon bc becomes cheaper, also old editions work better than new editions, but that depends on you. For my first semester I bought all my books in amazon, and for patho I did use an old edition and did good in that class. There is a green small book in the bookstore called Pathophysiology that it is very helpful, but you can find it in amazon (please buy this book) you don't have time to read the big book. Also, do not buy the study guides bc you don't have time to do them and I did not find them helpful. For the calculation book I bought and old edition and I am still using it. If you have any questions let me know I will be more than glad to help you guys...
  3. Hello abaker6, I just finished semester one too...Of course you have chances to get in, good luck
  4. Hello Lopez7984, Do not worry for your GPA sometimes they do not look that, the most important thing is to have all the classes completed. I am second semester, be prepared bc they are very disorganized... Good luck everyone
  5. My best recommendation is apply early please, and do everything on time. Also, they are very disorganized so you need to be on top of everything. Good luck
  6. I think is better to call and ask them. Good luck
  7. Lol... What semester are you right now?? Any suggestions for first semester?.. I live in spring tx too.
  8. Hello tabdelhafiz, Are you already in the program or you are starting in spring 2014?
  9. Sorry, orificenal for my spelling, but I don't feel good.
  10. orificenal... I don't exactly the course, but I know tomorrow they are going to give us a practice test and we have to completed before classes start. Then, at the 12 day of being school they are going to test us about this practice test and we have to pass it with a 94% in order to do clinicals. Health assesment is not bad, but it's a lot research papers that we have to do. I know patho is a killer because of how much info we have to retain.
  11. I already did calculations... Now I am doing patho.
  12. You don't have to go to the CON, just send it by fax or email. I sent mine both ways.
  13. Jennifer did you receive my message?
  14. Guys how do we know if they received all the paper work. I have not received any confirmation... Has someone had receive something after turning everything to the CON? Thank you.
  15. Do you guys know where to buy some good shoes for clinicals?
