TWU Spring 2014 Applicants

Hey everyone. I just wanted to start a thread for all of those hoping to get into TWU starting Spring 2014. My name is Kia and I have already sent in my application and completed my TEAS V exam. I'll be in the Denton campus patho class this fall (trying to wait patiently for an acceptance letter-GOD willing).

Did you apply to other schools as well?

I am planning to apply at UTHSC summer 2014. Houston is my only option because I have two little kids. Anyone knows if it's better to have a prior experience at hospital like volunteering or CNA job. I have never worked at hospital and was wondering if it's the same case with all applicants to nursing school.

Hi Kia, my name is Marissa and I am also applying for the Spring 2014. I saw that you will be taking patho this fall and I was wondering which class you are taking? I am registered for the Tuesday/Thursday class @ 9:30! I thought it would be a good idea to start a study group if you are interested!?

ANYONE IN HOUSTON CENTER WAS REGISTERED FOR PATHOPHYSIOLOGY CLASS IN THIS FALL? I called them and they told me that I haveto be accepted in the program before i can register. Is it true?

In response to your question josly, were you trying to register for the Patho class that is held at the Houston campus? If so, then yes. You would have to be attending the Houston campus to enroll in that specific Patho course. As for the Patho course in Denton, you can register for that prior to being accepted into the program.

I applied to TWU's Houston Campus for Spring 2014. I will be taking Patho this Fall at the Denton campus. Good luck to us all. I'm praying to hear good news come November.

I will also be in that class. I'll be in the front row aka The A row for those who plan on getting an A in the class. I usually don't do study groups unless it is right before the test but I am always happy to help and make more friends. I'd be happy to meet you next Tuesday if you like. I'm the black girl with the glasses and curly natural hair. Did you apply to the Dallas or Houston campus?

I'm sorry that came off bad. I'm more than happy to study with you. Just had a momentary flashback to a disastrous study group I had in microbiology. Luckily it didn't last long, the other girls weren't truly committed to succeeding in the class (two dropped and the other failed). However I was able to study with my BF for our anatomy classes just fine.

By the way what are your stats.

That's ok! That's the way I made it through my A&P 2 class, I practically lived at my friend's

house. I am very determined to make an A in this class. My GPA is a 3.8 with an 84.7 on my TEAS and 4 out of 4 preferences. This will be my first semester at TWU so I will not get the .4 bump.
