  1. I'm a patient care tech at Presbyterian in Denton on the IMCU/CVCU unit
  2. I recently started working as a tech in Denton. I plan to keep my job for the medical experience and they will pay for school upfront. I get to make my schedule so I plan to work only weekends while in school. If you can do that then working part time should be doable. I work full-time and the pay is pretty good.
  3. I got accepted too to Dallas Stats: 3.8 GPA 4/4 pref 87.3 TEAS V
  4. I got my acceptance letter today too.
  5. Letters are supposed to go out Friday. Email one of the ladies and she was nice enough to write back with this info.
  6. Did everyone do well on their first patho test?
  7. I applied to Collin College in McKinney as well.
  8. And see you were all worried about nothing :)
  9. The preferences refers to having an A on the first attempt in A&P I and II, microbiology, and statistics (lecture and lab must both be passed on first attempt with an A for it to count).
  10. In high school we did cats which was the best. In college we did fetal pigs.
  11. TWU has four classes they want you to get an A in on the first attempt and they weigh pretty heavily in on who they pick. The classes are A&P I and II(lecture and lab both have to be an A to count), microbiology (lecture and lab both have to be an A to count), and statistics. So when people say 3/4 they mean they got an A in 3 of the four classes on their first attempt.
  12. Great stats! We have very similar stats. I have been at TWU for a year now but I am 6 credits short of the bump no biggie.
  13. I'm sorry that came off bad. I'm more than happy to study with you. Just had a momentary flashback to a disastrous study group I had in microbiology. Luckily it didn't last long, the other girls weren't truly committed to succeeding in the class (two dropped and the other failed). However I was able to study with my BF for our anatomy classes just fine. By the way what are your stats.
  14. I just wanted to let everyone know a 4.0 is very possible. I've maintained a 4.0 GPA over the last two years while completing my pre-reqs. I was very blessed to accomplish this. I'm just waiting to see which school accepted me for their nursing program while I take pathophysiology. I am a wife, mother of two, one of which has went through cancer treatment.
  15. I will also be in that class. I'll be in the front row aka The A row for those who plan on getting an A in the class. I usually don't do study groups unless it is right before the test but I am always happy to help and make more friends. I'd be happy to meet you next Tuesday if you like. I'm the black girl with the glasses and curly natural hair. Did you apply to the Dallas or Houston campus?
