TWU Spring 2014 Applicants

Hey everyone. I just wanted to start a thread for all of those hoping to get into TWU starting Spring 2014. My name is Kia and I have already sent in my application and completed my TEAS V exam. I'll be in the Denton campus patho class this fall (trying to wait patiently for an acceptance letter-GOD willing).

Yeah your GPA is good.. I am worried myself I do not know if it is good enough. Houston isnt "less" competitive its just that there more nursing schools there that more spots are denied. Good luck on teas you will do just fine :). Well we get the bump b/c the classes are harder and so i guess they know they can bring down your GPA.

Thank you.. I have a question, do I need to know the archimedes formula for the test? And did you buy any of the online practices test. If yes do you think they are helpful?

No i didn't buy any of the online test I just studied from the book. And honestly i cannot remember.

Thank you :) Can you please give me an advice for the science and grammar sections? I learned all the rules for grammar, but I am still nervous about it. Math seems to easy in the practice tests; is the math harder in the real test, than the practice test? I am a slow reader, so I am so scared about this section too. I am been studying everyday, but I just concerned with the time. I am scared of not passing this test. Please help, Thank you.

Idk really. B/c everyone one works differently all i can say is keep studying that is all.

Here are my stats:

GPA:3.9 (Only gvt II& hist II left in my all prerequisites,and will be done in this fall term)

Pref:4/4

Second degree seeker(I have a bs degree in agribusness from Rwanda)

Teas:68( so sad)

Well, I am nervous because I scored poorly in my Teas,it was my first standardized test in U.S,which was not familiar to me,maybe I was not well prepared . These days I pray every single minute to get the admission in TWU nursing, my favorite university so far. I wsh the best of luck to everyone.

The one in Houston. I live in the DFW metroplex, but I want to go to the Houston Campus because of Texas Medical Center. How about you?
