  1. Good luck, guys. I think I'm giving up nursing for good. I got accepted into UTA and then had to give up my spot because I didn't have a declaratory order from the board of nursing for my criminal record. This whole process is so depressing.
  2. I didn't get a letter.. I guess that means I didn't get in?
  3. I am cautiously optimistic though because I have a criminal record, so I have to wait for the board of nursing to clear me before I can start the program. I sent in my forms weeks ago, but they said it could take a while. Wish me luck, everyone! Anyone else know anyone who has become a nurse with a criminal background?
  4. Anyone applying anywhere else? I applied to UTA and TCC as well. I've gotta get in somewhere!
  5. Awesome job! You'll get in for sure!
  6. I feel like I should retake A&P as well. I just hate that class so much. I realllly don't wanna take it again.
  7. Do I have a good chance with a 3.75 science and 95 HESI?
  8. That's so unfair! Even if it was a completely different class and not a retake? That will bring my GPA down below a 3.7. What a stupid policy.
  9. Well that is if they count my highest for my philosophy and fine arts electives. Does anyone know the policy on that?
  10. I just recalculated my GPA, using their worksheet, and it's actually a 3.8! Yay!
  11. I made an 88 on the TEAS! Yay! I was so worried because I ran out of time on the math part!
  12. I only have 2/4 prefs, but I'm gonna just apply anyway. I've already taken the TEAS, so I'm not just gonna not apply now.
  13. Tiffanies, I don't know if you have taken the test already, but I found it was very easy, as long as you studied. Really focus on the vocabulary section because that's the part that is the most difficult, if not studied. It's not general knowledge vocab. It's a lot of medical terms that you might not know. Make sure you know all your basic math, too, and you'll be fine.
