Hello!
I know it's pretty early to be starting this forum, but I just wanted to put my voice out there and see if there is anyone else out there hoping to join TWU's nursing program in the spring of 2013? What are you taking this semester (spring 2012), and when are you taking the TEAS-V entrance exam?
After this spring semester of taking microbiology, chemistry, developmental psychology, and statistics, I'll be ready to apply before the September 1st deadline! I'm hoping to take the entrance exam in the summer - probably June or July.
So yeah, I just wanted to see who else was out there!
Ugh I'm starting to get antsy now. For the past month and a half I've had a newborn to keep me super busy so I haven't had time to be anxious about the acceptance letters but November is getting so close now! Yet still so far away.
Awww congrats on the new baby :)
I know how you feel...I've been so busy with classes up to this point (and I still am) but I think because we're getting so close to the "find out" date that its hard not to think about it. Eek! I think we're less than 3 weeks away from knowing; that's crazy!
Acceptance letters will come in the mail and they will be sent out next month.
Amber, they haven't changed policies. Acceptance letters will still be sent via email, not mail. They need confirmation too quickly to do it by snail mail.
For those unfamiliar with the process: their first picks will be notified first, and if you do not make it on the wait list, you will get a rejection letter through email or mail. So if you do not hear anything when everyone gets their acceptances at first, it's not bad news, it just means you are on the wait list. If you get the email on the first go around, once you accept admission, THEN you will receive supplemental information in the mail. If you were wait listed, you will not be told so, you won't hear anything at all. Again - no news is good news, so don't lose hope and be patient. As people give up their spots or deny admission (which happens more than you think), they move down the wait list. Again, you will be notified through email. Once they have their 110 (or however many they can accept this semester), usually around December 13th, THEN all those on the wait list that did not make it will receive rejection letters. There were people last year that did not get accepted until AFTER orientation in December, so don't get discouraged.

That's what I thought. :) Thanks for the info, Maddie!
November is approaching and I feel nauseated... I finished my prereqs this summer in order to apply by September 1st and my life has been on hold ever since. I scored an 86 on the TEAS with a 3.5 GPA and 3 out of the 4 first time "A" (a "B" in statistics). Does anyone know what my odds might be of being accepted based on the previous information? Perhaps someone that knows what last semester's "cut-off" was. I will appreciate ANY information.

I was told by one of admissions coordinators that last Spring the average gpa of people who were accepted was a 3.7-3.8 and the average TEAS score was an 80.
