Hello!
I know it's pretty early to be starting this forum, but I just wanted to put my voice out there and see if there is anyone else out there hoping to join TWU's nursing program in the spring of 2013? What are you taking this semester (spring 2012), and when are you taking the TEAS-V entrance exam?
After this spring semester of taking microbiology, chemistry, developmental psychology, and statistics, I'll be ready to apply before the September 1st deadline! I'm hoping to take the entrance exam in the summer - probably June or July.
So yeah, I just wanted to see who else was out there!
I am thinking the same thing as you...no news is good news. I wouldn't be too worried about it. I know when I was speaking with my nursing advisor, he told me that I was good to go and did not need anything else. I am guessing the advisors are just contacting people that they have questions on just to make sure they are not turning anyone down for not being core complete if they are actually core complete...
I'm sorry for the confusion. Some people who have taken classes elsewhere, aka not at TWU, might receive an email from the advisors to see if they are core complete at another Texas university. If you're a transfer your advisor probably talked to you about it. If not you're probably fine.
I have a 4.0 and 4 first attempts A's too. I ran out of time in math and reading on the TEAS V. i made a 72. I was sad for some days, but it is what it is. Keeping my finger crossed. hoping for the best.
There we go.. (new to this ) sorry.
I have those EXACT same stats! 4.0, core complete, 4 first time A's. Good to know there's someone else out there I was so upset! I know how you feel. I was running short on time on reading and math also! Also, I didn't really study as I should of and just took it! Idiot:no:! Afterwards I spoke to the advisor and they knew my stats and they said I didn't really need to worry so much about the TEAS with those stats as long as I passed it with an overall compsite score of 64! Well see if that holds true, huh?
I figured I'd do much better but I'm not much of a standardized tester really! I saw last semester one person on here made it in with a 3.7 and a 68 on the TEAS. So, I'm not giving up just yet! But if I can just relax....

I've heard a few people talk about it at school. Some got calls, some got emails.
