I understand! I have to wait until Christmas to get mine. My dad is a firefighter/paramedic so he wanted to get it for me. I grew up in a house full of girls so anytime we want something he knows about he gets excited and wants to buy it for us. Mine has been order just have to wait to get it! What color did you end up going with?

I too have heard that the Littman is the best. I have read a ton of review for the Classic II and that seems to be the one I am going to go with, also I had some friends that just finished the nursing program say to definitely pay the little bit extra and get your name put on it.

Does anyone know if I can get my TB test the same day I get my flu shot and finish my hep series? I know the flu shot is not a live virus so I know I can with that but am unsure about hep a & b.

How did you all get a number as to where you were on the wait list? I was just told that I was high up on the wait list but that more people than normal would have to decline for me to get in. Needless to say I will take my spot at one of the other programs I got into!

The class I attended was AHA and for healthcare providers! Very excited for orientation so we can get more details. I assume we can't register for spring classes until after that?

I went to a place over off beltline and 75 to do my CPR class a couple weeks ago. It wasn't bad, I was only there for about 3 hours & I think it cost $50.00

If you log into cougarweb you click on look up classes and select the semester you want to look at the pick the nursing courses.

You know I thought there were 60 but after looking at last springs registration I think you are right there seem to be only 48! I kind of looked at the schedule of classes for the last two semesters and this is what I came up with.... Monday- Intro to Professional Nursing- 8:30am- 2:30pm Tuesday- Integrated Nursing Skills- 9:00am- 1:00pm Wednesday or Thursday- Clinicals-- It looks like you will either have clinicals from 6:30am-3:30pm on Wednesday or Thursday OR 6:30am-11:00am Wednesday & Thursday! To be honest I'm really hoping to get 6:30-3:30 so that I can have two days a week to study, with a 6 year old and two year old at home weekend studying will be limited for me. So I need to take advantage of the time they are at school! Also, has anyone else started looking for white shoes? I talked to the lady at the front desk when I went up there the other day and she seemed to think they were pretty strict on them being completely white. I am having a hard time finding some that don't have just a little bit of silver on them.

Oh wow Pepper35 you are going to be super busy! Congrats on the baby!! Is this your first? We have a six year old and a two year old.. and man do they keep me busy! Random but did you happen to ask about shoes? I know some schools require all white shoes. I am super excited to start... I don't really want to have to wait until the beginning of December to start purchasing all of my items for school. I'd like to go ahead and purchase my stethoscope, shoes and those types of things now and not have to do it on top of all my Christmas shopping! Also did you send in new immunization records? I don't have and new vaccines since I submitted in July.

I thought it was more of no news is good news for now. I thought you only heard from them if they had questions about your application or if it looked incomplete. I didn't know anything about a core complete email. Now I am curious!

What is on the 23rd? My letter says orientation is on November 30th.

I got my letter from Collin today and I got in there as well.... so no I will not be accepting my spot at Grayson County. I would much rather only drive to McKinney than driving to Denison. Good luck to you guys, I'm sure you guys will do great!

Congrats Pepper35! I only had 5 out of 6 on the PSB. My overall GPA was like a 3.9 and science GPA was 3.8 something. I have finished all of my prereques for the BSN program so I'm not sure if that helps as well. So excited!!!
