I know it's pretty early to be starting this forum, but I just wanted to put my voice out there and see if there is anyone else out there hoping to join TWU's nursing program in the spring of 2013? What are you taking this semester (spring 2012), and when are you taking the TEAS-V entrance exam?
After this spring semester of taking microbiology, chemistry, developmental psychology, and statistics, I'll be ready to apply before the September 1st deadline! I'm hoping to take the entrance exam in the summer - probably June or July.
So yeah, I just wanted to see who else was out there!
I just asked an adivisor and they said 900 applied. Yikes...2 different answers....
That's probably the total number that applied. The 600 was the number she gave me of the ones that met all the criteria after they weeded out those that didn't qualify.
Yeah, she was one of the nursing advisors at TWU Dallas. I emailed her yesterday and asked because another applicant, who is my classmate in Patho, emailed one of them to ask how many applicants had applied and they told her there were about 600 QUALIFIED applicants but I wanted to know if that was for just Dallas or for both, Houston & Dallas combined. She told me that was for both campuses.
Oh wow. I emailed my advisor in Denton and he said 900 applied. Then I called and the lady who answered said 892 applied and 800 were eligible. I like your numbers better.
Yeah, me too! The nursing advisor in Dallas didn't give me an exact number but she said that what I heard (about the 600 eligible) was accurate. I hope she's right!

Do you know if they contact the ones who weren't eligible once they deem them ineligible or do they just get the rejection letters with everyone else in November?
