Hello!
I know it's pretty early to be starting this forum, but I just wanted to put my voice out there and see if there is anyone else out there hoping to join TWU's nursing program in the spring of 2013? What are you taking this semester (spring 2012), and when are you taking the TEAS-V entrance exam?
After this spring semester of taking microbiology, chemistry, developmental psychology, and statistics, I'll be ready to apply before the September 1st deadline! I'm hoping to take the entrance exam in the summer - probably June or July.
So yeah, I just wanted to see who else was out there!
Do you know if they contact the ones who weren't eligible once they deem them ineligible or do they just get the rejection letters with everyone else in November?
Usually if it's something small, they email you. For instance they will send you an email saying that something is missing, and that you have a few days to reply if this was a mistake. So they do.
I took Patho last Fall at the Denton campus. The rumor is that it's easier, but I worked my butt off and made an 87.. B.. I am blank on the professor's name right now, but she was only present for two exams. Her TA's administered the others, if that's what you want to call what they did. They were very disruptive and rude if you had any questions about the exam. I will get back with you girls on her name. Good luck!
I was told mid-October on Friday.
That's even sooner that I thought. Now the anxiety is really building up. =) I know I've read on here that even though they say mid-October, they keep pushing it back further and further. Hopefully that's when we find out. That gives us a month or so to frantic about the anticipated email of acceptance or not.
Oh I know, I do not think it will be longer than November 1st. I have decided not to be frantic until October 15th. My biggest fear is not to be included in the 'first batch' and know that the letters are out and I have to wait for someone to change their mind on schools. Are you applying to the Dallas location? Do they choose 100 or 110?

I like the idea of not being frantic until October 15th :)

Hopefully patho will keep my mind pretty occupied that way I'm not having to think about it till mid-October. But just thinking about it has gotten me a bit anxious. Hopefully we will be in that first batch and we can then really relax. I am applying to the Dallas campus. I'm not sure how many they choose but I sent an email to an advisor, so hopefully she'll get back to me with some information regarding the application pool and selection.
Patho should keep your mind very occupied. I took the course at TWU last Spring and I am glad I got it over with. I think about getting in all the time...it drives my family/friends crazy. Let us know what your advisor says so we can also have some kind of out look. Did you apply to any other program?

Are you taking patho at the Denton or Dallas campus?

I wasn't qualified last semester and never received an actual letter, only an email.
