TWU Fast Track Summer '09

Is anyone out there applying for the fast track program starting in the summer for the Dallas campus? I am applying. Will have my pre-reqs completed in January. I am very stressed about them only accepting 30 students!!! Does anyone have any thoughts, concerns, anything??!? I think I am going crazy waiting for April to come to know if I got in or not! :bugeyes:

Hello girls... or guys! I really don't think the 0.4 GPA addition will have a major impact for fast track applicants like us. May be I'm just an overly confident individual...lol! I graduated from TAMU with double majors and I don't have a single credit hour from TWU. So I won't be receive any 0.4 addition. However I do know that applicants with a previous BA/BS degree and have GPA over 3.7 are less; hence, applicants with a previous BA/BS degree and have GPA over 3.6 and they actually wanna go to nursing school and they have 0.4 addition are even less....lol... I'm not sure if my logic is correct.

sounds reasonable to me, Sophia1983. i think i'm just over-thinking and over-worrying about this whole thing.

I doubt many fast track did the .04 advantage. Most of us still have cost from the previous degree n taking on more university tution is just too much when you can go to a community college for cheaper. If I was still in undergrad sure I would have but its not reasonable now

For those of you who know I was put on the waitling list for the spring. I just recieved a email this morning stating all slots were full for the spring and to check back very soon for the fall application. I'm assuming it will be up next week hopefully.

Oh, I was so sure you were going to slip in under the wire on that one! I'm so sorry it didn't work out, but I think you have a better than average chance of getting into the summer program.

goopsy did you get your NET scores yet? i keep checking the mail and nothing!

No, I don't have my scores yet. I don't keep checking since I know what time the mail man comes, but everytime I do go get the mail, I am expecting it to be there!!!! Some people said that it took 5 days and others even said it took up to two weeks. I am particulary anxious about the scores since I already know that my GPA is great so I am just waiting to get my scores back to see where I fall!! yikes. Let's pray it is there today!!!

by the way, i dislike this new website. It was easier to see everything on the old website.

AggieNurse2B and Goopsy thanks for the kind words. I'm so excited to get this application process up and running. I feel a lot more confident this time around since both my GPA and NET are competitive with all the other applicants. Maybe with the mail being busy with Christmas is the reason the scores are taking long. When I took mine in Aug it took about a week give or take a few days. Please post the good news of those great scores when they come :)

hopefully so! my mail man hasn't come yet today! my gpa is good as well, so this will probably make or break me! good luck, i hope you did great!
