TWU Fast Track Summer '09

Is anyone out there applying for the fast track program starting in the summer for the Dallas campus? I am applying. Will have my pre-reqs completed in January. I am very stressed about them only accepting 30 students!!! Does anyone have any thoughts, concerns, anything??!? I think I am going crazy waiting for April to come to know if I got in or not! :bugeyes:

by the way, i dislike this new website. It was easier to see everything on the old website.

i don't either! i had this page bookmarked and it took me to something completely different earlier today.

hey everyone. I got my NET scores back today, and I did horrible on the reading comprehension. I can't even apply because I didn't meet the 55 qualification score. SO I am completely devastated. I didnt think this was going to be a big deal. What makes me mad is that I didn't even have time to finish it!! I did great on the math though, which of course does not count. so I guess I am out of the running, which makes me so sad. I have been crying for the last 2 hrs!!! I dont know what to do now. the website says that we can only take it one time per application period. I was going to apply for the summer fast track, but i can't now. does the fall count as a separate application period or what? I hope you did great lovelovelove even if I didnt! I really do wish everyone the best of luck.

i'm so sorry to hear that goopsy:( i'm sure you'll be able to take it again before fall. is the deadline after the feb 1 fast track deadline?

i got a 100 on the math section and a 70 on the reading comprehension. i didn't have time to finish that section either- i feel your pain there. my composite percentage is 85%

hey that's great! im so happy for you; i truly am. the feb 1st deadline is for the fast track and the fall. So, i don't know how it would work. i need to call the advisor on Monday to see if it's over or not for me.

thanks! I will let you know what they say tomorrow. Also, let me know how much you would like for the study guides. Even if they don't let me take it for the fall, i will have to take it for the spring anyways!

i don't want anything for them! even if i don't get in, i've already read them front to back (and remember all the passages), so i don't think me re-studying them would do me any good. they would be in the trash if no one wanted/needed them!

I'm so sorry to hear about your scores! I would be interested to know what the advisor has to say about it.

As I've stated before, the NET test is pure crap, in my opinion. I don't think it tells you a darned thing about a person's ability/capacity for success in nursing school. Just another part of the game.

yah, thanks!! i thought it was crap too. my GPA is over 3.8, I already have a BS in biology, and I know I am more than qualified to enter nursing school. The advisor said that I can't take it again until august, which is the testing period for the spring of 2010 which sucks big time. it's just a game, and i realize others have had to go through this before, so I just need to do it too. I met with lovelovelove and she gave me two NET study guides, ones I did not already have, so that helps a bunch too! Goodluck to everyone and thanks!
