Is anyone out there applying for the fast track program starting in the summer for the Dallas campus? I am applying. Will have my pre-reqs completed in January. I am very stressed about them only accepting 30 students!!! Does anyone have any thoughts, concerns, anything??!? I think I am going crazy waiting for April to come to know if I got in or not!
For those of you who did not get accepted...did you guys receive a rejection letter of some sort because I did not receive anything.
I am new to this post but I too applied for the '09 TWU fast track program and did not receive an email like the others did. I received my rejection letter last friday So yes they do send out rejection letters.
For those of you starting this summer, where do you live? I have a huge dilemma because I live in southwest Fort Worth and am trying to decide if I should continue living here for free and commute everyday, or if I should find somewhere closer to the campus to live. Any suggestions will help!
mmm....let me correct myself a little. I think on the application to the nursing program, there is a selection for you to pick whether you want to be considered traditional or not. For those people who did not pick that option, i think their applications won't be considered. However i think very small amount of people would have done that if there were any. For those who picked the choice to be considered, their applications will be automatically processed in the traditional pool. I am not sure if this helps you.
jt brass --- I live in Grapevine, so my commute will be about 30 min (without traffic), which I'm dreading enough! Living for free is very nice...however, commuting is draining, and you will already be drained from school. Also, our class times will necessitate driving during peak traffic hours. In my opinion, living closer to the school and Dallas hospitals would be beneficial for you. There are some nice apartments around 114 and McArthur. I'm sure there's tons of stuff even closer, but I'm not familiar with it. Good luck with the decision!
I actually live an hour away without traffic. What I'm thinking about doing is taking the TRE. I would still have two hours a day of commuting but they will be on the train where I don't have to worry about driving or anything else. I can sleep, read, whatever. The problem I have with getting an apartment is that I would pretty much have to live off of student loans to do so. Considering the fact I'm already paying off student loans from my first degree, I'm not too keen on that idea.

We have until the 25th to accept or decline the offer. They may be waiting until then to see if any additional spots open up before sending "rejection" letters.
