Is anyone out there applying for the fast track program starting in the summer for the Dallas campus? I am applying. Will have my pre-reqs completed in January. I am very stressed about them only accepting 30 students!!! Does anyone have any thoughts, concerns, anything??!? I think I am going crazy waiting for April to come to know if I got in or not!
Congratulations to everyone who got in! It's been a long journey, and it's an even longer journey for those who didn't get in. I hate asking this (since I hate it when people ask me) but, what were yalls sats (GPA and NET)? If you don't want to answer that's fine! I'm just trying to figure out where the cutoff...
Thanks and congrats again!
Okay, I got nothing, nada, zip, zilch in my TWU inbox today. So, I don't know if that means they just notified the people who got in or if they just did a few notifications today and will do some more tomorrow or WHAT.
Sophia, did you get a rejection or just get nothing at all???
Can't figure out if I've still got a shot at this or not!
Aggie... i'm sorry to hear that.. i called because I received nothing as well and they told me if you don't receive an email, then more than likely you didn't get in. I really hate to break this horrible news to you but we will be considered for 2 years. After a horrible day yesterday, i finally found my confidence. Thank you princess for your encouragement. Let's hope for the best!
Guys.. CONGRAD TO YOU ALL! YOU REALLY DESERVE IT! :)
Goopsy- My GPA was either a 3.9 or 4.0, depending on whether they considered a "B" I got in History, or took my AP score instead, (I took the course at TCU because they require a 4 on the AP for credit. I got a 3 but that's all that is required at TWU for credit). My NET reading comprehension was an 88. I hope this helps!
Hi All,
I am new to this forum, although I have been reading it periodically over the past few months. I was also just accepted to the TWU Fast Track Program. My GPA was about a 3.9 and my NET was about a 97.
So does anybody out there have a good estimate of what the program will cost, in total?
Thanks, and can't wait to meet you guys!
this page seems to have a decent breakdown of costs, but it's always different. the adviser i spoke with a couple years ago when i first inquired about the program said the first tuition bill is monstrous because it covers the first summer and the fall semesters together. i wonder how much, like, supplies and scrubs and equipment add to the cost. i'm hoping they address it on some level in the information they're sending us. as a whole, most aspects of nursing school still seem very mysterious to me.
by the way, that is a phenomenal NET score, CKLiscomb. is that your combined score, or just your reading comprehension?
My NET score wasn't quite as high as all of yours', 76, but I guess that was competitive enough!! I've always been special when it came to reading comprehension! Didn't do well in it when I was younger either. I did get a 97 on the math, though, but it didn't count. My GPA was a 4.4 with the bump. I was really worried there might be many with this GPA. Congrats to all of you! Good luck to the rest of you hoping for fall admission!

I don't know why you are saying you are "special" considering that was a good score; that's derogatory in the way you are using the word, and quite frankly, there is nothing wrong with being "special". You need to be respectful of others by selecting your words wisely, especially if you are going into the health field because you never know who you might be offending by choosing to say such things.
