Hello! Just wanted to start a thread for those applying to the college of Nursing at Texas Woman's University. Who already goes there? What do you have left to take? Are you nervous... etc!
My name is Alli, I will start at TWU, not the nursing program, this summer. Moving to Denton with my husband. I can't wait!

Congrats future J1's! Make sure you take advantage of the opportunity to get Patho out of the way this summer. It will make a significant difference in your stress level if you don't have to manage that on top of Pharm (which takes A LOT of studying) and Concepts (which takes A LOT of time). Best of luck to you all!

I would LOVE to get patho out of the way this summer but I'm having a really hard time finding it on the online TWU registry. Is the class just full? Or is it possible to take patho at another school?
Help!

Make sure you're searching under Biology classes, not Nursing. It's there, at least for the Dallas campus. I would also recommend doing face-to-face vs online if you can make it. Online is MUCH harder, and you absolutely have to read that gigantic, tiny print, impossible-to-understand book. Face-to-face classes are completely off her notes. (Again, this is for Dallas campus.)
I can't explain how excited I am I get in. I'm honestly in shock and feel it must have been God's Will, because I did TERRIBLE on the TEAS. I was told by an advisor that they score the test by sections, and I did descent on everythingbut the Science and totally bombed it. My total score was only a 69, which I know is awful, but my GPA was a 3.8, and made A's on all my first attempt science courses but anatomy 2. I still know it is a true blessing I got in and The Lord had my back. To those of you who didn't get in yet, don't lose hope, keep your head up, and keep having faith and trying. Good luck to everyone and I'll see you guys at orientation!

Hi Pamq, the bump is from taking 16units at TWU for the prerequisite courses. I wish I had taken my course at TWU instead of at a community college....stinks.
