Hello! Just wanted to start a thread for those applying to the college of Nursing at Texas Woman's University. Who already goes there? What do you have left to take? Are you nervous... etc!
My name is Alli, I will start at TWU, not the nursing program, this summer. Moving to Denton with my husband. I can't wait!
No I don't work. I have thought about getting a part-time job, but when I do have free time on the weekends I use it to catch up on sleep and time with friends and family. As a matter of fact, I don't know anyone who works full time! A lot of students quit their jobs and take out loans for pocket money and stuff. I myself think that in nursing school its important to focus on school because its building onto your career, you can pay loans off. Many hospitals are looking at grades now too with their applicants!
And I think it's time consuming because they give you all the tools you need to succeed, you just have to put the time in. Like for Pharmacology, she tells you exactly what you need to know it just takes a long time to memorize all of the drugs. And when you do clinical care plans, they just take a long time. You really don't write papers

Right now it's my first semester! So far it has been great I really love the program TWU has. The classes aren't too hard they are just time consuming. I'm still getting used to the clinicals but other than that I have made a great and easy transition! If you ever need any help/advice or have any questions feel free to ask me
