  1. I am taking pre-reqs at DCCCD. I was told that the Microbiology and AP1 courses have a pre-req of Biology 1406. When I called TWU, they said they have never seen anyone with that course on their transcript before and asked that I check with the school. I confirmed it. Is it just me?
  2. CSTout, Do you work full time? In what field if you don't mind. I'm an HR Consultant. When you mention time consuming, is it the studying or papers? I hate papers as I've done enough in my past degrees.
  3. How far are you in the program now? How has it been?
  4. How often are the exams in the program?
  5. You should be done with the program at TWU now. Please tell me all about it. I'm just now starting my pre-reqs and I have a full time career in another field that I cannot quit. Did you find it difficult to work? What was the hardest thing about the program? Would you recommend another program like TCU or UTA instead?
  6. It appears that the UTA AP program is very intense and you cannot work. The TWU weekend program has all full time working folks. What's you take on the UTA accelerated program with working? I cannot afford to fail or quit my job.
  7. TXnurstud, It has been a long time since your post. How are you doing now? Are u in the program? I'm interested in TWU and UTA and understand that UTA is 15 months instead of 24 months, but it is so intense that you cannot work. TWU weekend program has all full time working folks. If you are going there, can you tell me your thoughts of working full time?
  8. How was Concorde? There is one in Dallas I'm considering as well? Did you get your answers about DNI? If the classes don't transfer to a BSN program at a university then that defeats my whole purpose.
  9. How is the progress at DNI going so far? I like the extended part time 17 month LVN program although losing every Saturday for that long with a new born will be tough. The cost seems extremely high for an LVN so I'm looking at options. The flexibility is the only sell right now.
  10. I'm trying to look at all options to change careers to nursing. I have a MA and don't want to start from scratch, but I do realize there are pre reqs. I have a good, decent paying career and cannot afford to quit to go to nursing school which is what it seems like you have to do. What programs in Dallas, TX offer the most flexibility with your schedule for BSN program for FT working folks?
  11. How difficult is the HESI exam?
  12. Hi Lev, May I ask what the update is on your nursing status? I'm considering enrolling, but I have fears about starting this while still working full time. I need something flexible and I can't find a flexible school that allows FT day shift people an opportunity to take classes and clinicals.
