TWU Fall 2011 Hopefuls

I did apply to PVAMU and luckily I accepted them before this TWU thing happened to me. I talked to everyone and tried everything but somehow I was transfered back to the same mean lady. UGH! Well, I am applying to TWU again for spring 2012.

I don't understand why it is such a big deal if I missed the deadline. Oh well, cant really do anything now. :/

Did you apply for any other schools? like pvamu and utmb? I will decline pvamu, that means the people on the waitlist will get in. Try to talk to the dean or someone in charge of college of nursing and explain your situation to them. May be it will help

When you miss the deadline, your spot is given to someone else. Even if they wanted to, they just don't even have a spot to offer you unless they do either a 4 or 5th round of admissions (not sure which round they're on now lol). Who knows, you might be waitlisted and if enough people declined this past Friday, you might get an acceptance. =)

i think all of the dallas spots are taken at this moment. twu denton wouldnt release the names to the dallas center until they had a list of confirmed students. its horrible whats happened to you but i know since ive been at twu theyve warned us to check your email daily once the deadline for applicants had passed. it was told to us that some people miss accepting their offer and their spot is given to the next available applicant. its unfortunate thats what happened to you.

if you were accepted into the other school will you transfer into twu or you will not start the other school? @nam123

Hi Nam 123,

I am sorry to hear that. But If you got accepted for spring 2012, you should graduate in may 2013 just like us who got accepted this fall(we will have 4 semesters). You will take summer classes and you should be finishing up in 3 semester. I am assuming that you could transfer some credits from PVAMU to TWU. It can also help you ease your course load.

hi nam,

i am sorry if i didn't say it clearly. i am not in the program right now, i got accepted by this fall semester. from what i heard so far, they all say that twu nursing is a very challenging program. professors will push you hard because they want you to pass the nclex. i did my own research and i believe that twu is ranking at 64th on the national level nursing program according to us news. hope it helps!

I only need stats to apply for TWU and I was planning to take that in the fall cause im going to be busy with other stuff this summer. What is needed to be competitive with the other applicants?
