  1. RNSS1 replied to RNSS1's topic in NCLEX Exam, Programs
Another thing: Review the NCLEX-RN thread which is on this site. It's a PDF with a lot of info that was helpful. Hope this helps!
  2. Hi All, I just took the NCLEX and passed with 265 questions! It feels like such a relief to not have to worry about this exam. This was my second time taking it, so I am very grateful for the passing grade. This is what worked for me to pass: 1. Reading Saunders. I went to Staples and had the book broken down into smaller sections and binded so it was easier to carry around and read. I read two to three sections a day. Highlighted stuff that I needed to know and then typed up notes. 2. Kaplan Qbank: did every question and reviewed right an wrong answers. 3. Made note cards of things to remember: lab values, hyperkalemia, hypoparathyroid, etc...and reviewed and studied this 4. Make sure you know standard, contact, airborne, and droplet precautions. 5. Review Growth and Development.
  3. Congrats!! I just took exam yesterday, with 265 questions. I drove home really down thinking I didn't pass. Honestly, after 75 questions I had to really stop and pray that I could pass. Many times during the exam I had to tell myself that I'm still in the game and not to give up. I got the good pop up :) This was my second time taking the exam. I studied very hard. This is what helped me: 1. I read two sections of Saunders a day and took notes on my computer. 2. I did every Kaplan Qbank questions and reviewed all right and wrong
  4. Does anyone have more information on the weekend nursing program and how difficult it is?
  5. Hi Pamq, the bump is from taking 16units at TWU for the prerequisite courses. I wish I had taken my course at TWU instead of at a community college....stinks.
  6. TWUDallasAdvisor, I was wondering how many qualified applicants applied to the Dallas program? Thanks for your help!
  7. Thanks for you help zeek! I really appreciate it. I think I'm going crazy just checking my twu email account. If its meant to be it will happen :)
  8. What gpa and tesi score did you get, if you don't mind me asking??? I still havent found out...im assuming i didnt get in but thought I could improve for next time.
  9. Did you find out today?
  10. Does anyone know if all of the letters of acceptance have gone out??? Im getting so worried, TWU is my first choice
  11. Thanks Nars, good luck to you too! I think a lot of applicants are really nervous, including myself. It feels like there are so many people applying. Im hoping if I just keep at it and not get discouraged, and look at the long term goal, hopefully things will work out.
  12. Hi Nars, I'm not too sure either. My point total is 15 and Im really nervous about getting in. I think that if you apply to both programs your odds are better.
  13. Does anyone know the average point total to get into the program for the Fall?
