Twu Fall 2009 Applicants

Published

Hello Princess WannaBe and other special Friends:

Soon we will be going through the same agony we just went through recently as we sat and waited on the letters with decisions that were made for our lives at the moment.

We are all going to be positive through this process again and once again

I am positive, upbeat and excited.

TWU Nursing Program here we come:nuke:

Princess WannaBe and others on the waitlist we are still pulling for each one of you to make into the Spring 09 program. Yes, as we know anything can happen...hang in there:yeah:

nhoward TWU only weighs the NET 20% and GPA 80% from what my sources have told me. I know the science GPA is very important so it sounds like you have a great chance of getting a acceptance letter. TWU only takes the best of the best and you are one of them.

AirForceGirl12 sounds like you should be ok too. I have a 3.7ish gpa as well. Is 67 your reading score?? If so sounds like you have a great shot too. I could have really used a friend like you last semester when I was waitlisted. TWU is the only school I really want to go to and I picked myself up and made sure I was a competitive applicant this time around

Hope to see you two in August. April is so far from now. Thank God it's March next week. I'm thinking we should get our letters by the 15th since they said mid-April

Hey PrincessWannaBe

I have two logins how crazy is that...nursetobe12 and airforcegirl, but still the same person. I had to get another

login because I forgot my first one....

We are going to be fine this time around....I have peace within this time around for sure:)

Oh and yes 67 for the reading....

Oh ok!!! Your personaliities sounded around the same so it makes sense. I want to know so bad now. What are you doing to keep busy??

Yeah, I called TWu yesterday and was like whats the net to gpa ratio yall use in deciding who gets in..he was like I'm not allowed to tell you that but i figured it was probably around the percentages you said. It'd be really cool if we all got to be together in August. Yall would make great friends and study group. Good luck yall, april is just around the corner lol try not to think about it everyday because it only makes time go by slower

Yeah TWU is very tight lipped about how they chose their students. Most of the info I got was from students already in the program. I'm trying not to think about but its so hard :(

Hey PrincessWanna Be

I am in the Air Force Reserve and I am getting ready to take my NCO Academy exam next month so I can be promoted to MSgt (E-7) so I have been very busy studying.

I work out a lot at the gym plus having two girls at home. My 11 year old is very involved in competitive cheerleading and my 14 year old plays tennis.

I also direct Childrens Choir at my church so yes I stay very busy. Oh

one more thing I spend a lot of time praying for all of us that each of us will understand that Gods will is the best.

I am so proud of you and want to remind you that your spiritual growth is important to me.

My enjoyment comes from being here for each one of you to ensure that

you not only look at yourselves, but more as to what God has planned for you.

Stay in touch everyday if you would like...I am here to count down the days.

Remember you and I have been through this before although the wait may not get any easier, but his word does.

Hello nhoward

Oh yes, they are very tight lipped regarding the process. We are going to be just fine!

Hang with Princess and I and we will show you the ropes:)

PrincessWannaBe

I hope you were not offended by that comment because it was all in great humor.

Princess has one of the best if not the best outlooks on this whole process and

we will get to meet each other face to face soon.

Wow you are a very busy lady!!! I really don't have much to do which is why the waiting is extra hard. I just moved to Houston in Dec and of course with everything that's going on its so hard to find a job. I was hoping to be working until the fall. But now I try to read and other things to stay busy. Do you know what kind of nurse you want to be yet??

Specializes in NICU.

Oh no not at all. Do you remember if everyone just gets a single letter regardless of acceptance. I just wanted to know since I didn't get one last time

Yes I do...I want to be a nurse midwife. I worked OB/GYN for 6 years in North Carolina. I loved it! I worked with

5 doctors who told me for 6 years that they wanted me to become a doctor and if not a doctor a nurse midwife.

I dream of delivering my first baby...and making a book of all the deliveries. I get goose bumps thinking about it:yeah:
