Hello Princess WannaBe and other special Friends:
Soon we will be going through the same agony we just went through recently as we sat and waited on the letters with decisions that were made for our lives at the moment.
We are all going to be positive through this process again and once again
I am positive, upbeat and excited.
TWU Nursing Program here we come:nuke:
Princess WannaBe and others on the waitlist we are still pulling for each one of you to make into the Spring 09 program. Yes, as we know anything can happen...hang in there:yeah:
Hello Cathylady
Thank you so much for your post. At this time I am pursing my Bachelors in Family Studies and a Masters in Occupational Therapy.
I am in Maymester now and very busy, but I am excited about my new direction. I will apply for the Masters Program in Oct this year and so far so good!
I believe I was put in this situation for a reason and reason being to help others stay strong and to understand this is not the end.
The greatest experience for me was being able to make another person a very happy individual by giving up my seat in Houston. I will never know that person, but I pray they make a great NURSE.

you are so nice!:redbeathe
i'm not sure i follow, you were accepted into the program that you had hoped for and you gave up your seat? why?
i do know that i had always wanted to be a nurse but never applied because at the time getting into physical therapy was easier and so i went that route but have always regretted it. i ended up dropping out of the pt program and went into teaching. i still regret not pursuing nursing to this day. my daughter, on the other hand, has been accepted into the bsn program at vcu (virginia commonwealth university) as a freshman. only 20 were admitted as freshman out of over 2,000 applicants. i'll have to live vicariously through her ;-).
all of this to say, i don't believe our lord jerks us around. if the desire to be a nurse was as strong as your posts indicated, i believe you should continue that pursuit. i'm only speaking from experience and forgive me if i'm out of line or way off base.
