Hello Princess WannaBe and other special Friends:
Soon we will be going through the same agony we just went through recently as we sat and waited on the letters with decisions that were made for our lives at the moment.
We are all going to be positive through this process again and once again
I am positive, upbeat and excited.
TWU Nursing Program here we come:nuke:
Princess WannaBe and others on the waitlist we are still pulling for each one of you to make into the Spring 09 program. Yes, as we know anything can happen...hang in there:yeah:
Wow I talked to Teresa today and guess what she said. I was PROBABLY wait listed because of my NET score. SO i asked her "so the GPA doesn't really matter much and someone with a lower GPA would get in before me" and she goes yes that is correct. She tried looking for my folder, guess what? She could not find it. She told me to call back Monday and speak to Erin. What a B/S procedure and how unorganized they are. One person tells me it was because of my 3.8 GPA and another because of my NET score. Who do I believe? lol. :chuckle:chuckle:chuckle
I am a first degree student. No previous degrees at all. I made a B in Developmental Psychology first time and a B in Anatomy and Physiology I the first time. Those two classes I retook and got A's.
Anyhow I gotta go to work. But this is just almost funny to me.
oh my goodness. if thats the case about the NET..then where is my spot, if they are going off of NET? lol but hey i dont know what is going on with TWU this year. its all pretty wishy washy.. so i dont know what is going on with your app. i def. call Erin and ask her again why your gpa is being calculated this way.
I have a friend who made it in the Dallas campus for fall. His GPA 3.73 to be exact is lower but his NET reading comprehension score was extremely high. I never bothered asking his NET reading comprehension score due to privacy. I really don't know what to make of 3.9 GPA unless the reading score did not meet the criteria or something else. This is kinda weird. :thnkg:
Well, I don't think that you just had to have a 65 on the NET to qualify and get in. I had heard from my friend that TWU takes the GPA(0.8) + NET(0.2) =?
So I asked Katie Llewllyn and she hesitated before responding that yes, it is how they calculate it but that no one was supposed to really know that. w/e that means; like it's a secret or something...
Hey.. I just received by letter about the seminar. Also the form that I was shown on the internet is the correct form. The letter gave me the same website to down and print. The Houston Seminar is on May 8th from 8 am to 1pm. I am soo excitted.
Sorry to hear about your waiting list Future.

yes, I am getting 3.927, but only if this is your first degree?? If this is your second degree, then your GPA would be calculated as a 3.892 since not all the classes calculated are the same...
