Soon we will be going through the same agony we just went through recently as we sat and waited on the letters with decisions that were made for our lives at the moment.
We are all going to be positive through this process again and once again

I'm assuming the dallas campus is getting all their stuff sent out before us houston people. Does anyone know where I can go to get a titer done. I took all 3 shots but I only have 2 documented
I got accepted to Houston. Yeah actually I already spoke to someone at the Houston campus and she lead me to the exact form you did. She said that we should have already received our packages and that we have an orientation to attand to for all accepted students in May. I told I was not aware of that and she was shocked and worried about why we have not gotten our packages. So maybe you are correct. We should be receiving them shortly.
I will still go and get my shot and then fax the form to my doctor to complete when I get my package.
The reason for the rush is because I need to have all of this done before June 8. And I am not sure how long it will take for the drug tests and the background check to get to TWU. I am already taking my CPR, etc for Healthcare Providers class tomorrow. So....that is down. And the only thing I need on my immunizations is my updated TB skin test. I just hope I can get these done on time.
Me too eamaya.. my parents are in hong kong and I haven't seen them in 4 years. I want to get home as soon as possible. Who did you talk to? I talked to Dr Ayers, she is the one who are incharge of this. She told me the package should be sent out shortly.
Wow. I got an email today saying I was wait listed. How in the world does someone get wait listed with a 3.93 GPA? My accumulative NET was a 76. I got an 84 on my MATH section, I just heard that they don't even look at that portion.Erin sent me the email and I replied with a question to see why I was wait listed above all things. I'm still grateful to have the opportunity, but I just want a little bit more insight into their thinking. To everyone who helped me out, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. FurtureCRNA, when did you turn in your applications and other information to TWU? I feel bad because it is like you are close but sorry. If you don't get in this semester, now you have to take the HESI A2. That is really not good.
Really....I heard the HESI is worse. Well that is good news because my friend is going to take is sometime before Sept 1st. Also as for being on the waiting list I think it all matters when you turned in your applications. They may have already picked the number of people to fill the slots and by time the got to your application and liked you, they had no place to put you but on the waiting list.
I know how it feels to be put back a semester because I applied to UT Houston and they wanted me..BUT... they wanted me to start in Spring. I did not want to wait. I wanted to go to nursing school now; and since I already got acdepted to TWU I was ok with that. At least I know I have the capabilities to get into UT. That is where I would love to go for my masters degree.
yeah the HESI isnt hard at all. its really basic. how would that be fair. i mean if he turned his app in by Feb 1. why would they already pick the spots before then and leave his 3.93 out? that doesnt make sense.
They already have ranked all the students in a list. They know once a person declines their spot who is going to be called. So it just depends on what number he is if he will get a spot. This is what I was told last semester when they waitlisted me. It still goes by gpa and not when applications were turned in
Well I was told that if you turn your application as early as possible. They said that makes a big deal on to when they look at your app. I believe this because my sister in law who apply later than me received information from TWU after I have already received mine. Also to mention that TWU is really picky...they came back to me wanting other things like a letter from my current school saying that I will be core complete before Fall 2009. I had to jump through hoops to get this done and on time before TWU made their decision. Even my advisor at LCS told me that UH and TWU are both school that pay attention to details and require more information to make their minds on who they want to attend their schools. CRAZY!!!! I still don't understand why he did not get in though. Maybe he should call and ask why? I don't know.
Well my GPA is a 3.889 and I still do not understand why a 3.93 would not make it. Like I said before, I really would call them not only to find out why but what number on the list he stands. I hope he gets in. He has worked hard for this and his GPA shows it. That is so sad.
