TWU Applicants Spring 2011

Hello Everyone,

Well I am currently looking to apply to TWU for Spring 2011. I thought it would be nice to start a thread because I am sure we will all need a good support system. The whole application process is so STRESSFUL!

I am just double checking, but the Hep B series is something that some of us may have already from going to public schools right? I have documentation of the dates that I had my Hep B completed, so I am just making sure this is going to suffice.

For the Hep B, if you already have proof of completing the series then that will be ok. As for the other immunizations, some will need you to take a titer for the vaccine to show that you still have antibodies in your system. All of this makes more sense when you read the immunization requirements online.

To get ahead of the game, you can send your immunization record to Denton (via fax) if you have any of them completed. The instructions on how to do this is also online.

Hey everybody! New to the site and didn't see this thread until after I had posted in the Dallas 2011 thread! Glad to hear that several of you have been accepted! Fingers crossed for those still waiting (or whose friends are still waiting). I got my acceptance letter on the 20th of October but didn't realize they were even sent out until a friend asked me if I had been accepted. It was a good day to come home from the gym and read that email! :yeah: Initially I wanted to be accepted into the Weekend Program but now I think I am going to LOVE having my summers off for once! :D Cannot wait to meet you all at orientation on the 10th! :up:

Now, question for anyone that can answer. Is there a time limit for having out Hep B shots (like the DTP booster) or is it OK if we have the completed set of three shots? The last time I had my Hep B round and DTP booster was in 1998. I know that I have to get the DTP booster done but what about the Hep B? Thanks for any help!

Good luck everyone! I accepted into TWU (Houston) but I am withdrawing since I got into UT-HSC.

The change of clothes that you will need for Assessment Lab needs to be a sports bra or camisol (either will do) and a pair of shorts. They can be any color that you like and can be something you already own. Guys will need a t-shirt. You won't need any of that until week 2 or 3.

I am not sure about Dallas, but the above is for Houston. You will need it for your Assessment lab, since you will be assessing each other.
