Hello Everyone,

Well I am currently looking to apply to TWU for Spring 2011. I thought it would be nice to start a thread because I am sure we will all need a good support system. The whole application process is so STRESSFUL!

I hate to read that you're getting stressed!! Would it help that I sing the Glow worm song in my head when I see your posts? Sorry if you hate it or something haha...here are some lyrics for you :)

AWWWW That is so cute. I teared up! I must REEEALLY emotional huh? lol :crying2: Well, in response to your post about the money. I emailed the Prez of TNS, Belazard, he said that the uniforms are at the lowest cost (we'll see), and they are already embroidered with the logos and the correct color. He said that we can buy from elsewhere as long as they meet the EXACT standards. He said the memebrship is for two years. And I'm in an ADN prog now. They offer TNSA membership for two years at $70 (first year discount of $10). TWU off ers membership into three. IDK if it's mandatory, though. Didn't ask. I was approved for about that much in loans and I know they only approve what is needed to attend...of course based on need. I was awarded some odd amounts, subsiduzed and unsub., so I'm just assuming that is supposed to cover cost with books.

WOW thank you so much for your time MISSMOE Yes, i applied fro scholarships, but my added hardship is that I already hold a BA (go figure that it would be a hardship). What that means is that my options are scholarships and loans. No free federal govt money for me. Boo hoo. But seriously that makes it harder. To top it off, $$ aren't dispersed by orientation. Bleazard told me we have to come up with the funds on our own. Sucks.

SB is right, you will have to come up with the funds on your own for most things until your Financial Aid/Loans/scholarships are awarded, and your difference refunds are given. You also have the option to take out an emergency loan to cover your expenses prior to your financial aid award. Check out the financial aid website for the details.

I am right with you on that one. My BS keeps me from getting just about anything that doesn't have to be paid back (with the exceptions of scholarships). I could be rolling in Pell Grant money if I didn't get my first degree but eh...everything happens for a reason! Just keep applying to ANYTHING available and keep your fingers crossed (that is what I am currently doing). Good luck!

Thanks guys. Everything always works out. I'm just wasting energy here stressing. I was just really curious though if anyone else was concerned about the same stuff. I didn't want to feel all alone.

I prefer the element of surprise:D! You will never guess who I am in person! I generally look ticked off and extremely angry:mad: on a daily basis. This is far from what I ACTUALLY am on the inside. The angry look only means that I am in deep thought (or bored):anbd:. If there is time, I will introduce myself . Hopefully you guys will do the same.

P.S. I am also a HUGE fan of the smilies (obviously).

On this coming orientation on December 10th, when we register for the classes are we going to pay on that day? Will they accept payment plans? I also want to ask if what is the estimate money should we bring during that day.

I notice some of you mention about the TNSA. I just want to ask if what are the benefits of joining TNSA.
